Been interested in this and wondering is there any type of detox (doubt it ) I know time n staying away helps however my question is how do u know when they are gone we r talking years of build up.

Couple MDs on Twitter claim it can be in adipose tissue for ~8 years
I think that means it would depend on fat loss, just because you stop eating them doesn't mean you gc'd the cache

That's what I'm talking about I know the oils don't leave def cling to fat lipids I'm assuming they can solidify given melting point is a high temp?? Y we were told to use them hey don't burn your butter! Use these cheaper better ones

I think they simply need to be metabolized like any other fat, and that is part of what makes it so difficult trying to lose weight because your body is working through that poison from the before times
If you have been eating clean for years, fasting makes you feels like shit all of a sudden because you start burning that crap off and it inflames joints/skin etc
reply
Oh wow I never thought about that

What u think was clean u mean lol that's so wild and makes sense on the fats and poisons
reply
lol right, I got into primal/paleo years and years before the great PUFAwakening and didn't realize all the pork I was eating was also poison

I'm not a biologist but I don't think they buildup like that. Your body takes them apart and uses them for stuff afaik (in contrast to something truly toxic that acculates like mercury). The stuff your body uses seed oils for might differ, at the margins, from the stuff it'd use healthier fats for, but I think if you just stop eating them, that should be enough.

It does build up. Some have tested to see what proportion of their bodyfat is polyunsaturated. You literally are what you eat when it comes to fats.
reply
For a more concrete measure, you can undergo blood tests to check your levels of omega-6 fatty acids versus omega-3 fatty acids. A diet high in seed oils can skew this balance, so a shift in these levels might indicate that you've successfully reduced seed oil intake

So what would u be looking for or want with the fattys low 3 or low 6 or high 6 high 3??
reply
you can have your circulating levels of linoleic acid (LA) and arachidonic acid (AA) measured as they are the most prominent n-6 PUFAs
reply
That's interesting appreciate that was a random question I was thinking today
reply
seed oils are n-6 polynunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA)
