#Ph-SN027 "Orange Signals" 🍊🌇
Before I knew about BITCOIN I already had signs from the universe that I didn't know how to interpret yet, back in 2017 when I took this photo they just mentioned bitcoin to me. Guess what, I was so stupid that I said things like "that's not for me" or "to deal with that you have to have money and right now I'm broke, I can't" obviously speaking from the voice of ignorance and with a complete lack of knowledge of the main aspects of the world and how it worked. Especially the most important aspect, "Money" was one of my greatest total ignorances. I had dark days, but I've always been strong and resilient, so I prevailed and moved forward! Then years later I understood that bitcoin was always for me and for all those who seek freedom. Back then my signals came with my constant captures of the sky at sunset 🌇 capturing different shades of orange 🍊 in the sky daily. At that time, that activity was what kept me sane and active in the goal to be able to continue moving forward to other places. Today my orange focus is on bitcoin ⚡🍊🌇 to continue moving forward and keep my family safe. I dedicate myself to studying every day, and every day I learn something new. And I will continue like this until I grow old and have achieved my goals, thanks to which I have stacked my SATS. Thanks for reading, stay Awake and humble 💪😎⚡🍊

No. I just set it up on an umbrel node. It was really simple. Plug and play, which is my speed. There are guys on SN who are really good at NixOS bitcoin. I bet they have already done it.

Sorry I'm sticking this here. I have Alby Hub hooked up to my node. I was just going through the possibilities, which seem endless. Do you anticipate putting out a guide soon?
reply
I am pleased that you ask me. Sorry but their documentation is more than enough, I do not think I have to write another one.
Alby have quite simple and straight forward documentation about setting up a hub that in fact is a full LN node, self-hosted. Watch the short video step by step.
I myself I just follow it and in less than 5 min I had the LDK node up and running. You can choose multiple LN backends not only LDK. Later I will test multiple backends with several accounts, just to see how is working.
Opening channels is really simple and straight forward with multiple good LSPs. You can choose private or public channels too.
I didn't used my old custodial wallet migration, I wanted to have a separate one. So I choose to create a new alby account with I got the authorization code. That code is just a formality to make a link with your private node to be able to be visible and get a getalby.com LN address. Later you can change it if you want a more private one.
On Umbrel and Start9 is super easy. Just few clicks. Just one important mention: when you start the setup wizard, choose "advanced". The "cloud" version is ONLY for users that do not have infrastructure (hardware) or are nomad users. Then you can choose whatever backend you want and options.
Never saw such an easy setup a LN node. Indeed is still linked to Alby in some way, but they do not control your funds or transactions. You have 100% control of your node.
I will name this the replacement of Mutiny node.... seriouslly.
reply
Yes, I did the same thing, using the auth code, but I don't want to use my old custodial wallet either. I guess you create a new wallets and get a new getalby address?
reply
Yes is a random address but later you can change iif you want. Important is that you choose the local self-custody node in advanced mode, not just follow the walk-through default setup.
When you click "advanced" you will see more options to choose which backend LN node you want to use. In case you already by mistake you went by default on cloud setup, in Linux you can delete the .cache/albyhub folder and start over.
Later if you want your own private domain as LN address, you can follow this guide.
reply
Okay. Thanks

Have a great day Stackers!

The meaning of life is that it stops.
–Franz Kafka
This quote brings to my mind another quote by Jacques Locan, Existentialist French Psychoanalyst, which I found to be thought-provoking, “Death belongs to the realm of faith. You’re right to believe that you will die. It sustains you.If you didn’t believe it, could you bear the life you have? If we couldn’t totally rely on the certainty that it will end, how could we bear all this?”

Grievance Procedure

When working for someone else, and an issue arises, many people make a complaint to their immediate supervisor, which in turn usually leads to following the company’s “grievance procedure”.
This is a formal way for an employee to raise a problem with their employer concerning the actions of another employee.
However this action establishes you as an employee, which is a taxable human resource without rights.
Furthermore, if you initiate this “grievance procedure” you have lost the ability to direct the process and are at the mercy of the “senior management”, who have no obligation to conduct themselves fairly or justly.
Note: the primary goal of any senior staff is to protect the corporation from litigation, and not to help you.
Additionally you have now accepted the often convoluted grievance procedure rules and regulations, which are written in a way to entrap you further.
If someone has made a complaint against you, then you have the right to know who this person is within the private, but not as an “employee”.
If their name is not divulged, then the burden of proof and hereto the claim now becomes the responsibility of the supervisor you are dealing with, which you must deal within in the private.
Many people will opt for perceived simple solution of using a union, but just like petitions and protest, will only pull you into the legal system deeper, as most unions are usually working with the very corporation the union said they would protect you against.
