if anyone is curious about what the generations look like, I just hooked up the website to the telegram group so all new images get shared automatically 😄
reply
Why not make it a public group?
Or publish somewhere publicly?
It's a great feed!
reply
Working on that as soon as I achieve stability with the current iteration!
reply
I was curious what it would produce for "Stacker News To The Moon!":

Stacker news image embds are super nice. for example i wanted to see a larger pic and i tried clicking it, and it gave me a larger pic. bing bang boom

I finally opened a lightning wallet and logged in with LNURL and it was truly revolutionary. I don't have to bother with entering my email or giving Google even more control of my experience. What other sites are there that use LN-AUTH
reply
there are a handful of sites that let you log in with lightning listed here
reply
This is the type of stuff lightning was made for. Micro-subscriptions aren't worth it when I just want to use the service on demand.

Uncensored Stable Diffusion and DALLE2 in Telegram for 1000 Sats
reply
wow this is super cool! Here is my favorite image from "a chill cat lusts for the moon"
reply
Why Dall-E2 not Stable Diffusion?
reply
Doesn't work on mobile. Lost 1K sats. On mobile you have to switch to wallet in order to pay invoice. After switching back no image was generated.
reply
It worked for me. Did your browser reload the page? That should have caused it to not work. It took me around a minute after payment for the image to render, while there was a loading spinner on the screen
reply
Nope the page didn't reload. I waited a few minutes and nothing happened.
reply
This is cool! congrats on the work!
However I have to do the math here: a 10 USD subscription with midjourney will give me 200 renders a month, so 0.05 USD a render.
At 1K sat per render this currently is 4x that price (0.20 USD). Plus here I have to dispose of my very much treasured sats while midjourney takes dirty fiat.
Not complaining. Dalle-2 might have its own cost structure and you're free to charge whatever you want. Just making a comparison here.
reply
For the 10USD subscription, do you have to KYC yourself?
reply
Fair enough, no KYC on this side, that's a plus for sure. Enough to grant a 4x price? well that's for everyone to evaluate individually.
It might also depend on what you're trying to generate and/or if you want to get around the rules. Just as an anecdote, MJ wouldn't draw anything that contains the word Jinping for instance, and if you try to go around it you might have your account banned. 🙄
reply
I think it's important to remember that Midjourney does not allow for you to pay less than $10 per month. And Dalle-2 doesn't allow an expense less than $15. The minimum amount of money you can pay on describe.photo is $0.20, making getting images on demand. For the person that only wants to generate a few images and not 200, the $0.20 will always be cheaper than $10 min but for $0.05 / render.
reply
I understand the basics, but can someone explain to me exactly how to use this thing?
reply
Write a sentence of a photo you would like to get, like "Karl Marx buying a coffee with Bitcoin", click on GENERATE, LN invoice QR shows, so you pay that. And then you wait 20 seconds and 4 pictures show up. The cost is 1000 sats.
reply
Thanks. I guess I didn't understand it. Now I get it.
reply
This is cool but it needs to be expanded to include all the tools (incl. MidJourney and StableDiffusion), for variations, and it needs to add outpainting and the breadth of options of StableDiffusion. Cool idea though!
reply
Also just analysing the cost. 115 credits is 15 bucks. And there are 15 free credits every couples weeks. 13 cents an image, that's about 657 at the current exchange rate. Pretty good deal, tbh! Like the business model!
reply
Do you need to pay first to see the images?
reply
There's no price when it prompts with an invoice, however the text suggests it's 10 sats. Is that right?
reply
The invoice was for 1,000 sats (~$.20) for me.
