I've been thinking about it since I read @calle saying that "the long-term mission is to blind all custodians". How would it look like? Is there any gains from that for anyone or is it just a waste of time since no privacy can be achieved?
Or maybe @lntxbot could support the chaumian ecash ecosystem by just accepting token deposits from trusted mints? Or is that irrelevant since the mints support Lightning already?
I don't know, I generally don't ask these questions since I just make up my own opinions -- often ill-informed -- and go on with those, but since I was bored I decided it would be interesting to hear what other people think.
Doesn't mean anything will be implemented at all, please take this more as a theoretical abstract question -- replace "@lntxbot" above with "any custodial microwallet".
How would it blind lntxbot? If users are still using the bot to send/receive lightning, then it can see what they're doing. I guess i they can exchange their lntxbot ecash-sats p2p over telegram, then lntxbot won't see those transfers. What % of lntxbot payments are to other lntxbot users? If its a large amount, then something like cashu could be cool. If most users are using lntxbot to interact with the broader lightning ecosystem, then I don't know what it would get you.

We are too early with bitcoin adoption. Nocoiners are still very confusez by the plethora of shitcoins. Introducing now another plethora of tokens ( even that is chaumian ecash with btc) will create even more confusion and in special fake tokens. Many users don't know how to check if a token is real or not.
Massive confusion I see. First we need people to be bitcoinized and after that tokenized.
In this early phase I see the use of these tokens in a more private way , in closed circles.

I agree, lol from my orange pilling people have enough of a hard time understanding bitcoin if you even bring up things like L-bTC or LN they start to lose the plot pretty quickly
