Every person, every mind, every life is a world. We have the pleasure of coinciding in this time where bitcoin is still a baby and in this SN community; There are only a little less than two months left until a new year begins and as time goes by so fast perhaps tomorrow will be 2028, this is crazy, getting back to the subject, I thought: What will become of the dreams and goals of the stackers? Do they have projects that they want to accomplish? Have you just completed a goal? It doesn't matter what it is, whatever the objective is, it can be from wanting to learn how to make a cake or even a plan to travel to the moon, sometimes we get stuck along the way and possibly another stacker friend can give you ideas or advice that will help you continue on your path.
Happy Sunday Stackers
My goal will be to stack as much Bitcoin as possible.

Ok, 2025 is the year I swim 2500m below 40 minutes with heartbeat below 150 ;)

wow that's amazing, swimming is one of my favorite activities, but I can't even do a third of what you say. Seriously, how do they have that motivation and perseverance to do physical activities? I just procrastinate.

I unsuccessfully tried to find on Google which famous socker goalkeeper from the old days, when he was over 40 and still was a goalkeeper of the national team, just because he was still better than other young goalkeepers - and asked by journalist what is his secret, I remember he replied like this:
"Training is like a drug."
I can confirm, and I am older than he was then ;)

I'm 43. I started lifting when I was 38. I agree, once I started seeing the improvements, all I wanted to do is push further and further.

P.S. probably it was one of them:
"Known for his work-rate in training, dedication, and discipline as a footballer" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dino_Zoff or "Known for his work-rate, mentality, discipline in training, and physical conditioning" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Shilton

I look like a wounded animal in the water lol. Swimming is definitely not my strong suit.
Good for you though! I really hope you get it. There's nothing like hitting a new milestone!
reply
LOL this comment made me laugh so hard "I look like a wounded animal in the water". Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, that's great.
reply
OMG that's too much, you must have worked very hard to get to those levels, it's not easy at all. I like your positive and persevering attitude. You're going to make it!
reply
I've been lifting pretty consistently for just under 5 years. If you just stick with it, you get stronger. It's been pretty fun.
reply
How do you manage to maintain motivation and perseverance? I can't manage to have that discipline.
reply
It only takes about 2 or 3 months of motivation, because at a certain point it just becomes routine. At this point it's just what I do. I remember hating working out when I first started, but now I genuinely enjoy it. I'm a big nerd too, so I have years worth of spreadsheets, I've tracked my progress from the beginning.

I want to stack to a full bitcoin

I'd love to do that, but there's no way I'll get there. I'm hoping to get .5 over the next 4 years before the next halving.

We can dream, right? Who knows, someone might deposit some into my account. Weirder stuff has happened.

This made me laugh, I too have fallen into these fantasies, but you have to be realistic so as not to end up disappointed and disillusioned. You have to set a goal and always have a plan.

I'm just going to keep grinding, I'll get what I can get over the next 20 years. I should be able to make sure my wife and I get to enjoy retirement.

My husband and I are also planning on this. We don't want to depend on our children, much less on a state pension. Every day I see many elderly people struggling for money, begging on the streets, and I am terrified of reaching that situation.

It's a great goal, if it's within your possibilities, do it!

Find a house. Get ripped. Complete my maneuver from current role into IT/dev role proper. Pick up an instrument. Write more.
And stack sats of course.
I like to start resolutions slowly in November & December. I feel there's a lot of planning, shifting schedules around, feeling bad for missing a day, and trial and error to new habits. So by the time New Year's comes around, it feels good to have the train going at a decent pace already.
And for things like the classic "gym resolution", if you start before NYE, by the time the swarm of resolutioners come around only to quit after a month, you won't be one of them

I have the impression, I don't know if it's correct, that Bitcoiners are futurists, so they always have something to plan. In my case, my greatest wish is to LEAVE THE COUNTRY WHERE I LIVE. Only then will I be able to make my other wishes or plans come true. But I will always buy Bitcoin, I wish I could earn Bitcoin by working, nothing would make me happier.

A GOAL BROKEN DOWN INTO STEPS BECOMES A PLAN.
A PLAN BACKED BY ACTION MAKES YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE.
