It reminded me of this short story.
In a place near a coast there was a fisherman who had 3 children with whom he was sharing with his wife at the time a man arrived at the place in a big car and dressed in an expensive suit. Then this man called the fisherman and the following conversation arose.
-Man: Fisherman friend, what properties do you have?
-Fisherman: I have my family of 3 children and my wife. I also have a boat to fish and my house with what is necessary.
-Man: How is the fishing business going, how much time do you dedicate and what do you do with the fish?
-Fisherman: I dedicate from before dawn until around 10 or 11 in the morning, it is like 4 to 5 hours, then a buyer comes who takes all the fish and pays me what was agreed.
-Man: And that's all?
-Fisherman: Afterwards I spend time with my family having a good lunch, I rest under the trees with my wife and in the afternoon I play with my children. Later we eat together, we talk and then we sleep until the next day.
-Man: I think that if instead of spending only 4 to 5 hours fishing, you spent 8 hours, you would have more fish to sell, you would earn more money and in 5 years you could buy another boat and hire another fisherman. After 5 more years you could buy a truck and you yourself would take the fish to the market and earn more money, although you would have to work 3 more hours. With those earnings you could buy more boats in 5 years and you would have more fish. After 5 more years you would have a fleet of boats and trucks and you would earn more money and hire more people. So instead of working 11 hours you could only work 4 to 5 hours and you could enjoy your family the rest of the day.
-Fisherman: So you would have to spend 20 to 25 years working 11 hours a day to be able to do what you do now?
Moral: Let's value the time we spend with our family. All the money in the world can buy back lost time.
Time, air, water and food are the most valuable and precious and in the same time underestimated and undervalued things on this planet!

Time, air, water and food
And all those can be comprised into one word: energy. And how you can store energy in the most efficient way? Bitcoin.

Yes I agree. You don't notice it until you don't have it.

My aim is to have a lifestyle in which I wake up automatically rather than be rudely slapped by the alarm clock every weekday!

If that is what happens, it shows at least 2 things:
  1. You love what you are going to do each day
  2. You have enough energy to start each day
Then you have enjoyed what you did the day before and you will continue to enjoy what awaits you that day. You are the owner of your time, not a slave to time.

i remember first hearing this little anecdote from Tim Ferris years back and it's still true, time is finite and is precious, plus we might die from something random at anytime. guy i went to school with just had a stroke, age 39, he's in a wheelchair now. so yeah
gold and money are important too, but you can always make more money to acquire them, whereas time, once it's gone, is gone

If I told you I'd give you $10 million today, but tomorrow you'd be dead, would you take it?
Of course not. You likely value your time on Earth more than that.

I am glad to know that the community recognizes this precious resource. It is even interesting that it has been suggested that Time is a really scarce resource. So we must put all our efforts into using it well.
And it is said "WE REALIZE THAT WE NEED IT WHEN WE HAVE LOST IT"

Nobody lies on their deathbed wishing they spent more time making money.

Wealth accumulation can easily become a trap. The original purpose of having more freedom to do as you please can easily be lost in the process, and that loss is difficult to make up. It is a very difficult balance to achieve.
