Just once, I would like one of these guys say bitcoin instead of crypto, but I know he's not a maxi. Putting that aside, I am afraid of the Soros connection, though I don't know how deep it runs. It should be fun to listen to Whitney Webb weigh in.
He worked for Soros Fund Management for 9 years. He wasn't just some minor player. He became head of the London office. A bit of good news: He served as an intern for Jim Rogers, but from the timeline it was long after Jim and Soros split.
Here's a link to the Zero Hedge article:
Plenty of people can work for notorious actors/organizations and not agree with their fundamental beliefs about policy and gov't. The question is what have they advocated for since that time?

I feel like that split was long enough ago, and it's been pretty clear what his positions are on things since. I'm a big fan of not penalizing folks for the sins of their past (a few obvious exceptions aside), and most folks I know have changed their mind or looked back on a formerly-firm conviction and wondered how they could have bought into it.

The Soros connection is concerning but we should look at his political and philanthropic contributions which are more telling
Edit: Bessent has received support from several prominent Wall Street individuals, including Kyle Bass, the founder of the Dallas-based Hayman Capital Management. “He has a masterful knowledge of the architecture of the global financial system and its players,” Bass told The Epoch Times.

I am afraid of the Soros connection,...
Why? People of all kinds work in finance without one thought of the politics of the partners or C-level execs. In my experience, they like money. Who doesn't? People in finance like it enough to make money itself their careers. You might take that resume fact to mean they know Finance and successfully managed lots of money.

There's so many things that this administration can do to accelerate the Bitcoin standard happening. I'm excited to see if anything actually happens.

With each passing day, the new government is becoming more supportive of cryptocurrencies. Is this good news for Bitcoin or for altcoins?
reply
I guess it depends on what is considered good. NGU? Probably yes for both.

Its amazing how often you see soros connected with things. Maybe he is the one moving the chess pieces? Its a bit scary, actually.

He's 94 years old. Only the good die young. His son is now wielding the influence, I imagine.

I dont know, he is still probably pulling the main threads if he is healthy enough.
reply
Maybe. I don't know
