hey @k00b are you doing some changes on SN? Just FYI I got this error when I submitted a comment. After few seconds I clicked again the "reply" button and worked. Could be just a temporary issue. Oh I got it also when I tried to post this comment and the reply button was in long waiting, flashing.

Welcome to Friday, fellow stackers! But it is already a day off for most of us. Right, so just enjoy Black Friday as you can and don’t get trampled.

Ok, so today I learned that making a big batch of small transactions to one address with a 1 sat/VB fee will never enter to any block in the mempool. Only thing to 2 is to wait for the purge after 2 weeks and try again. Hope that I won't lose the fee though.

After spending 2 weeks in Spain and Portugal in September I can attest to the good spaces and bad spaces and how quickly bad spaces develop. In Olde Towne we didn't have so many homeless people and basic disregard for property until 2020. I've lived here 20 years and I've spent time here since 1999.
Richmond is even worse.
Just now some homeless guy walks up to me while I'm cleaning up leaves in the front of my house.
"Hey, Buddy..." The homeless guy says.
"No." I respond.
He's confused and says, "You don't even know what I was going to ask."
"No." I respond.
"What! You don't know what I was going to ask." He raises his indignant voice.
"No. I don't have time for your nonsense." I counter. Now I'm getting frustrated. It's raining. I'm trying to clean leaves out of the gutter so the street doesn't flood.
He gets the hint and walks away saying, "Your a fucking asshole."
"What did you say?" I turn to him and communicate that he's got my attention, now.
"What, you gonna kick my ass, now?" (Sic) He responds.
"Stick around and find out." I get ready for the altercation.
"Your a fucking asshole!" He screams.
"That's right! I'm a Big Fucking Asshole!" I join his heart warming conversation.
He keeps on going towards the Wawa to panhandle.
I'm so glad that I got up early and chanted my peaceful Hare Krishna mantra before I raked my leaves. Otherwise, I might have been disrespectful and rude.
Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone. Enjoy your families.

It's the hand up Biden's fundament that's causing all the trouble.
reply
I thought it was two hands, to be more thorough.
reply
You ever notice guys who shake your hand and point a finger?
They think they are clever but they really just want to massage your colon. It's always good to wash your hands after having contact with one of these types.
reply
I try to avoid handshakes, now-a-days. Bowing works, when done correctly.
reply
Not me. I go straight for the handshake but when I get the finger pointed to me handshake I call the man out.
reply
What does that finger represent or mean?

The SN page currently displays a static equivalence of 1sat=1sat. We could enhance this by calculating and displaying the average trust rank of all stackers. This value, normalized to the top 1% of trust ranks, could provide a more nuanced representation. For instance, we might see 1sat equivalent to .21sats on a given day. This calculation could be performed daily.
reply
I'm not sure this is true. A sat that's in a small UTXO set that's unable to be spent due to mining fees is lost.
A sat lost.
A sat that is locked in multi-signature where all keys are lost...
Now I'm seeing the real picture.
1 Sat that is freely available is just as valuable as the one lost so it must be respected!

Hello, after a month and a half since my grandmother's death, of course, like a boomerang, the topic of money came back. My father pissed me off because okay, I told my parents that I was 19 years old, I told them what I was buying, after all, I was still partially supported by them. However, he pissed me off with the fact that, as he called it, he was "investing" in BTC. 1. He wasn't investing, he was buying, I consider it the only sensible money in the world, physical gold could be used, but I think it's too regulated and risky, paradoxical 2. For God's sake, what I say because I trust them is what I say, but it doesn't mean that he has to tell his extended family right away, especially his brother and sister, where I hate his sister dearly because he directly threatens me, my younger brother and my parents with his threats that if my father doesn't pay her the money, she'll throw us out of the house (50% of this house in the deed of ownership belongs to my father anyway). Apart from that, my mother only got on my nerves for the second time with that phone call where she told me about it. She informed me that my aunt 1. threw one of my grandmother's wallets in the trash 2. is thinking about buying a car for PLN 70,000 and has expenses of PLN 50k for dental problems and blabbers that her husband doesn't earn much. 3. She is talking to her father and his brother because she is wondering how to avoid paying tax on several dozen thousand. Ok, I know perfectly well the situation is clear to me that she simply didn't share it fairly with her brothers BUT that's not even the point. What I mean is that for fuck's sake I want 1. not to drown out the memory of the person I loved with money 2. to respect the fact that I only told specific people about the purchase of Bitcoin 3. What the fuck will it change for me that I will know about something I have no benefit from 4. For fuck's sake, ruin other people's nerves with worthless pieces of paper like Fiats. I would be grateful for words that would calm me down a bit from this nervousness and I sincerely wish that Bitcoin would give me freedom thanks to which I would be able to cut myself off from this toxic place, I have already lost the only bond that tied me to this place...

Since it's winter here, it's hard to spot butterflies these days.
