Married against their parents' wishes, cousins José Arcadio Buendía and Úrsula Iguarán leave their village behind and embark on a long journey in search of a new home. Accompanied by friends and adventurers, their journey culminates with the founding of a utopian town on the banks of a river of prehistoric stones that they baptize Macondo. Several generations of the Buendía lineage will mark the future of this mythical town, tormented by madness, impossible loves, a bloody and absurd war, and the fear of a terrible curse that condemns them, without hope, to one hundred years of solitude.

My score: 9.5/10. Definitely recommended to watch and try to catch all the small details presented, don't be distracted by other things around when you will watch it. You will lose important aspects from it.
I don't want to make too much spoiler but some aspects must be said.
This Colombian Netflix TV series, based on a novel by Gabriel García Márquez is an excellent adaptation as a long format movie. The actors preformed an excellent scenario and their immersing into those old times (pre-industrialized South America) is perfect.
I think the crew movie team is the same as for the TV series "Narcos".
I read the book when I was like 25 years old and I love it. Now watching this TV series, brought me back the same feelings when I read the book.
The creators are trying to present like a utopian fantasy world but in fact all the actions are based on real stories from those times, when governments were trying to enslave freemen and twist their minds with bullshit political propaganda. Those people only wanted a single thing: to live free and be left alone.
The most "intense" moments were when the political game started in the small town and you could see the uncertainty on their faces when they saw that some other people from outside, they came into their town and try to rule them with bullshit government rules.
Their life was perfectly fine and living in peace and harmony together until a government agent came to make "order" and threaten with people with guns. Total mafia style.
Then the political game evolved and slowly showing its face that both sides are only a political power game and have nothing to do with people sovereign life. Is literally like a premonition of what is happening today, with political parties promising bullshit and imposing stupid rules over people that just want to be left alone.
The whole movie, for me, is a scream out loud, not for a "revolution" as is portrayed in the movie, but for a radical change in people's mind, a shift from stupid useless left/right (red/blue) political games and focus on individual sovereignty and well-being.
NOBODY CAN RULE OVER A SOVEREIGN INDIVIDUAL
