Cocktail of the day: Maple Bourbon SourCocktail of the day: Maple Bourbon Sour
Something simple but stylish for tonight
Ingredients:
2 oz Bourbon
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1 oz good quality maple syrup
4 Dashes Angostura bitters
3-4 drops saline solution
Instructions:
Shake with one large and two smaller ice cubes and strain into a lowball class with a fine mash strainer over a big cube. Garnish with lemon wheel (optional).

saline? what's that doing in there
Just 3-4 drops will enhance the flavor of every cocktail. Anything sweet should have a pinch of salt and anything salty should have a pinch of sugar.
Having it pre-diluted makes it much easier to incorporate into the drink.
I see, interesting science stuff! I don't know if I've ever noticed a bar equipped with saline, is it usually found there?
An absolute must in good cocktail bars. My boss would have killed me back in the day if I forgot to put it in.
