I was at McDonald’s yesterday and came across おすすめ in its menu.
Just what is おすすめ? It means ‘recommendation’. I was a good boy and followed McDonald’s おすすめ.
I got myself a Strawberry Frappe. It warmed my heart during the cold winter evening.
You can use it during daily conversation too. Just ask your Japanese contact: おすすめはなんですか？(osusume ha nan desuka?)

Chin chin itself means penis actually. In the past at work there was a Chinese person whose name was Chin chin hahaha (陳 something in Japanese, can't remember the name).
I think that this is the diminutive term for penis in Japanese. Usually used for children and spouses. There is another term for adults, I think.
There is "chinko", "chin chin", "chinpo", "chinpoko" and "penisu". The last one would be used more for serious situations (in a hospital for example), whereas the first three are used interchangeably. "chinpoko" sounds more juvenile. "chinko" and "chin chin" are, I strongly believe, interchangeable. Even though if you look at the dictionary it would be written juvenile word for "chin chin". So feel free to use any, for jokes I recommend you "chinpoko".

My surname is Heng (which means lucky in my dialect). Unfortunately, it is へん in Japanese. My wife refused to take my surname when we married haha 😂
Does that translate as “weird”?
It does. Weird, bizarre. Chinese people or people from Chinese descent often have one Chinese character for their family name so pronounced in Japanese it can turn into something weird (pun intended).

Hahaha! In the past I did the mistake to confuse kintama 金玉 with kozeni 小銭 for the money haha. In Japanese it is totally different but the meaning of the characters were almost the same meaning for me so inadvertently used it... 金玉ありますかー
I hope you didn’t say that to anyone there. Neither men or women would appreciate it much. If you don’t look Japanese, there would just be the “Are you speaking English,” look. That would be the only way to get away with it.

yup, we have plenty, especially in the big cities, but they are probably not as successful as a few years ago. We prefer different stuff, and even among the fast food restaurants we go for better options
What are some better options in your opinion?

I like Burger King more, speaking of fast food, mainly because my gf is vegetarian and they have delicious options that McDonald doesn't have! But I'm not a super fan of fast foods in general, 'cause I'm Italian (:
