I told myself I would go phoneless for at least the first month of the new year as a privacy exercise. I also want to study in depth some of @supertestnet 's seminars to understand L2 privacy vs Monero a bit better. I will be acquiring my first mining equipment this year as well, so pretty excited about that.

lose some weight

Calories in calories out.

reply

calories != calories

reply

Some calories are harder to lose?

I hear this mainly from vegetarians

reply

some calories are less nutritious, less satiating, etc.

try eating 2,000 kcal of chocolate a day

reply

If you eat calorie dense foods that are low in nutrients you'll just get hungry and fail. I lost ~100 lbs by counting calories and focusing on nutrient dense foods.

Fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy, etc.

reply

yeah I just want to say what you eat is more important than how much calories it has

weight loss requires a lifestyle change, not accounting skills

reply

For me it's a bit of both. I have some pretty nasty issues with food, so I have to be pretty vigilant. I can gain weight on a very healthy diet due to how much I always want to eat.

For most people though, I'd 100% agree. There's been plenty of people who've lost significant weight just by no longer drinking their calories

try eating 3000 calories per day of anything

update: I mean 30,000... 300,000.... 3 millilon calories

are you incontinent?

reply

Easier to do in Germany or Switzerland

reply

Or fewer calories in

Not exactly new years resolutions but my targets for the near future are: Launch my own SaaS product, sell most of my material belongings, live in South America for 2-3 months, continue learning to grow veggies, fruit and spices in my rental garden.

Keeping things simple: Read more, Lift more, and Stack more.

I don't normally make New Years resolutions, but there are some themes that I do focus on. For example this year I decided to quite drinking alcohol, in two weeks time It would be an entire year since I had my last drink.

I'm confident that I am healthier than I was this time last year, and plan to continue building on that.

reply

Good job, I quit drinking too.

I'm almost done with my trading classes..

So next year I'll be fully dedicated to perfecting that skill..

Staying in the gym 😅

love it. Trading is one of the best skills I've learned. Still a work in progress but last year was my first profitable year and this year is closing decent but not great.

Thinking more of being more patient for setups and attacking with size when I see a good opportunity. Chips like AMD look undervalued but I don't think it's ready yet.

I do Yearly themes instead of resolutions like suggested by CGP Grey. Highly recommended. I haven't one for next year yet tho.

Install Zeus Wallet, wait for sync, buy a channel. Your private LN node is now running.
