You said you already have a Synology NAS. That is all you need.
Go to file station and create a share for the file you want to share (could be audio, video or simple a pdf file).
That share link create an unique string that people cannot delete or edit.
You can do it from DSM file sharing or from Synology Audio app
https://kb.synology.com/en-global/DSM/help/AudioStation/publicsharing?version=7
or
https://www.synology.com/en-us/dsm/feature/file_sharing
I really really strongly recommend NOT sharing files from your NAS to the internet.
If you do, the NAS MUST be kept up to date.
If it is end of life, throw it in the trash. It is super unsafe to use an end of life NAS.
You will be ransomwared. This has happened many times over the years with Synology NAS's.
It is best to not expose any NAS service to the internet. NAS software is typically utter trash.
Case in point: (remote code execution vuln):

Like ANY other software OS... if we scared about a CVE than we should not use at all ANY software and just use type-witters and pigeons.
reply
No, this is too reductionist. All software is not equivalent. You can mitigate risk by controlling exposure.
Yes, all software has vulnerabilities. Some software is worse than others. A vuln in your local printer driver is unlikely to lead to remote code execution. A vuln in the web interface you are exposing to the internet from your 10 year old NAS has a high probability of being exploited.
I am suggesting to not expose software with a track record of remote code execution vulnerabilities to the internet.

A 10 years old hardware it doesn't means is running also a 10 years old software. Your assumption is wrong and misleading.
reply
I'm not saying YOU are wrong -- I am saying that it is a risky action to expose a NAS to the internet, especially given Synologies track record and the last RCE vuln was only last month...
True about patching! However, in general Synology only supports their hardware for the warranty period (4 or 5 years). So there is a betting chance that a 10 year+ old NAS might unsupported and vulnerable. They have no clear policy here. Sometimes are patches for 5y, some are 9y.
In this particular case, It looks like Synology back-ported the fixes to DSM 6.2 (must have been a very bad vuln, as these end of life). Yes, occasionally for really bad vulns, end of life things are patched. Absolutely no guarantees tho.
DSM 6.0 is end of life 2024. DSM 7.2+ needs a 2015+ model

That is a good, simple solution. It's just that my NAS is probably 10 years old and doesn't have much storage space left. I have a Start9 server which I was planning to use. I do know the Synology apps pretty well. Maybe I can upgrade the storage.

Do not mix your node with this stuff ! I am warning you.
Synology is just fine.

I remember your warning to me when I had a pi4 with Umbrel a few years ago. The Start9 server is pretty powerful. Your same warning would apply?
reply
Yes.
Always compartmentalize BTC node stuff from other crap.

Okay. I'm going to listen to you.

You can even personalize the access with multiple DynDNS systems, using Synology.me, DiskSation.me, DScloud.me. So you don't really need a fix public IP.
I was tempted to write a guide about "NAS for bitcoiners", but there are so many tutorials on internet that is not worth it.
Seriously people are really underestimate these NAS and are powerful machines dedicated for this stuff (sharing stuff on internet). You only need to study a little about how to secure the access and done.
Keep your node "clean" and robust and use a NAS for anything else.

here you have a very good resource page with all kind of tutorials for Synology.

Thanks. Hey, I like that YT Web! I may set that up.

Synology had one of the best Video Server (acting like a personal Youtube).
Unfortunately with the DSM 7.2.2 they removed the Video Station. If you do not mind keeping it not updated, you can still use Video Station.
In that page you can find a tutorial how to replace it with an alternative.
It can be used also Plex Server.
