When El Salvador started buying Bitcon, didn't we celebrate? Now when there are more talks about governments creating SBRs, most Bitcoiners seem to me not celebrating it.
There are things that aren't in our control. There are things we can't do nothing about them...
  • Bitcoin is for everyone including government.
  • Governments will forever be there, they are required.
  • We can't stop Bitcoin. Can we?
  • The bigger question is why we should (think to) stop Bitcoin.
Sorry, we can't and we shouldn't. Bitcoin is for everyone be it individuals or institutions.
However there maybe some fog on my eyes, I can't see what you can. So, please fo ahead and tell me.... Why should we hate a Bitcoin Reserve?
I personally don't hate the creation of a SBR. If you believe in Bitcoin becoming a globally accepted MoE/SoV, it was bound to happen.
I think a lot of people just distrust the U.S. government, first of all. They also distrust Trump, who clearly doesn't understand Bitcoin. Another concern is that the "strategic bitcoin reserve" will actually become a strategic shitcoin reserve, which will just end up being a waste of taxpayer money.
But in principle, I think a SBR for the U.S. and all other countries is going to be inevitable.

I completely agree. I've thought about MoE and I think without a government, not necessarily like the one we have right now, is not possible at full scale. Even for a minor buying from Amazon, we have pay on delivery, prepay, or other options. We can't imagine them with Bitcoin without a mediator for trust. For Trust, I believe we only trust who are accountable.

OMG you are a fucking moron. A total moron.

@k00b recently posted a really good link describing exactly what could go wrong...

@k00b's views are his and I sure respect them. I read that for he was concerned about a fork. I believe it's not gonna happen by way of only holding Bitcoin. What happened with the BCash is just an example, of course history is history but my question is how can we imagine Bitcoin Standard without a government? We need MoE to happen for Bitcoin. Is MoE happening with Bitcoin now? No. Is it possible without a government start using Bitcoin? No.

Regardless of how any of us feel about it, it seems like it's going to happen. Texas and Illinois just entered the race today for state BTC reserves, I think that makes 6 or 7 states now... It's almost inevitable at this point that the train at least leaves the station.

LOL you are so dumb. You prove yourself a shitcoiner.
You can't compare a meaningless law in El Salvador saying that people can use Bitcoin (is like saying ok from tomorrow officially you can breathe air) with a bunch of assholes that want YOUR BTC to put them into a reserve and gave you back to use a shitcoin, stablecoin, token or whatever bullshit.
Use you brain and ask yourself: IF YOU GIVE YOUR BTC TO THE STATE, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO USE ?
Bitcoin is for everyone including government.
You are wrong, totally wrong. Bitcoin is to empower the individual and keep away the gov.
Governments will forever be there, they are required.
OK go away statist shitcoiner YNGMI. You will be forever a shitcoiner.

I think the topic is a bit complex because we agree that Bitcoin is for everyone!! Now governments are buying it and creating those supposed reserves with the money they steal from people through tax garbage!!! Obviously they are not going to let it be seen that way..
And on the other hand, more personal as long as countries and institutions continue buying and also with what our friend "Saylor" buys The price is going to shoot up even faster, the process, I could say, is going to accelerate...
And for those of us who have been here for a short time and do not have a very large economic reach, it will be even more difficult to be able to stack sats for our benefit and why not for the next generation of my family..
But I am not going to complain, I continue stacking little by little and I maintain humility⚡⚡🤠
