The best one is the one you can do consistently. I walked 5 miles a day when I was losing weight. I'd suggest trying to find ways to cut calorie intake too.

That's approximately 500 calories (give or take) or 3500 per week or 1 lb.

It's not exactly, but you can see how it adds up.

I’m gonna slowly reintroduce exercise tomorrow and lift weights and try not to fall into a trap of overeating because I exercised

I thought you regularly ran down to the beach. My understanding is that beaches are usually near water.
