I don't know what the big deal is with Muun, it does its job and is super easy to use (I think the problem is that most of the other wallets have very bad UX).

I disagree, I've had people set up Muun, wanting to pay a LN invoice and suddenly muun had to wait for onchain confirmations? By the time it was confirmed, the Bitrefill invoice had expired.
Phoenix solution of keeping your funds in lightning and doing swaps to onchain if necessary is much more elegant imho.

That was an old version of muun, you should try it lately.

I did an article about it but we still donโt have better choice for the average Joe.
They are planning to implement a unified QR code for receiving money, if that is implemented, they will be just the best experience by far. (I think they are so far the best experience in bitcoin ).

I think I will stick with memes from now on.
I see that only few people really appreciate good content.
The rest just want noise and shitcoining.
Why bother and put a lot of effort for people that do not want to read and learn new stuff?

For many people and Bitcoin "experts", Muun wallet is not the best option to use LN, and this is clear as it is a hybrid between on chain and LN that still leaves doubts.
However, something is clear and that is that Muun is the easiest option for people to approach the world of Bitcoin and have greater adoption.

My biggest gripe with that is that we as a community are wasting to much time, energy and brain power towards very complicated cryptography with niche userbase.
Bitcoins elegance also stems from combining standard cryto in an uncomplicated way that almost seems too obvious that cryptographers think how the hell they overlooked having the idea themselves. Lightning has complicated crypto with amazing outcomes as a network. But muun just drains a lot of mental energy for complicated crypto with small leverage effects seeing yet.

Interesting point!
Edit:
Do you think that the increased user experience with more adoption is a so small effect?
Muun, with his defects, could push other wallets to invest on a better usability, improving the whole ecosystem.

I'd give them more credit if they had a larger userbase, yes. But I do not think that is going to happen.

100k user is a small userbase?

Yes compared to most major software products and communities. 100k is tiny.

See sec 40: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fckmC8W6yF8
The beauty of this ecosystem is that you are not marry to anybody. Is Muun the best for you for some things, good, use it for that. Do you prefer Blue Wallet for login here, perfect. Doing other type of transactions from your own node? Great
You don't like some of the above don't use it.
You can start using Muun in your phone in 30 seconds from scratch, and start selling papusas in the street. There are 6 billion people in the world that don't have the luck to be able to aquire the knowledge we have about using wallets.

Good that you can have more than just one wallet...
Just use whatever wallet that covers your needs.
For example, if a no-coiner receives a 500 sats tip that they want to retrieve to a non-custodial wallet, they can only do it with muun. Others charge you a first time channel opening fee and also have minimums.
Phoenix has a 1% fee with a minimum of 3k sats for channel creation. Also the first deposit on an empty wallet must be at least 10k sats.

Breez has a 2k sats fee for channel creation

Whereas with muun you can simply receive it:

On the other hand, muun doesn't support almost anything in lnurl, so you should use other lightning wallets to do all that cool stuff like logging in, paying to a lightning address, etc.

Also there is no easier way to swap funds onchain <--> offchain.
Muun is pretty neat wallet and all the haters knows it.
