I ate so much sugar as a kid. It's far and away the substance I have the hardest time resisting.

Interestingly, my palate has adapted to prefer less sweet foods as I cut back on my sugar intake.

reply

Great your palate is under your control!
I'm still the kid for sugar and my intake hasn't changed at all. I want to resist but I keep failing.

reply

The approach that worked for me was substituting slightly less sweet options: i.e. darker chocolate for milk chocolate or honey over sugar for tea.

reply

Thanks. I'll try the alternatives. @Kontext has also mentioned the same. Honey is great but I'm not sure about the quality by Indian brands. I've listened they make it with sugar.

reply

You definitely want pure honey. Ideally, you can find raw wildflower honey.

reply

Yeah 👍 thanks. I'll seek for some beekeeper near me.
You buy directly from the beekeepers?

reply

No, the stores around me have pretty good honey selection.

Day 511 of 100+ pushups per day; day 410 of 120+ pushups per day, sets breakdown:
3x36 normal/narrow, 3x12 pike; Total: 144
I eat little to no refined sugar now generally. I sometimes have dark chocolate (ideally 90%+) or the occasional ice cream, but other than that, no. I do eat a lot of honey though :)

reply

You're doing great on your sugar intake too. It's the addiction to tea with sugar I'm trying to overhaul but I can't. Also, I'm a addicted to chocolates and icecreams but first I need to remove sugar from tea.

I'm starting to feel a little bit of affected by sugar and the video above has wide opened my eyes.

reply

Boom! We love pure maple syrup too from my father in laws land!

reply

More people on the honey/dark chocolate train!!

Love it

Kettlebell swings coming in hot 100 🔥

reply

Ah today was an early morning grind fest 4 miler. Hills suck, but couches kill!

reply

Man sugar is such a demon. Very very hard to overcome a sugar addiction.

Still just looking after my body, taking it easy, started doing band assisted side stretches. Getting some work in in the healing area, keeping it strong 💪. Hoping to be back at my normal workouts in the next coming weeks.

After a long time, my brother and I have finally found the perfect schedule to play badminton, as we both get off work at the same time from now on. Today, we played for 45 minutes, taking short breaks in between.

reply

Badminton is great exercise! I used to play it a lot and it was alone better than all of the things I do now to keep fit.

reply

NEVER GIVE UP

reply

I hate it now.
