There IS NO CENTRAL "PLAN". Sitting on your ass waiting for the plan is the LIE. This was a COVID lockdown psyop to keep people from being rowdy, rising up, burning shit down, or becoming otherwise violent.
This is fine. We invented custodial lightning, Fedi/Cashu mints, and other solutions for the mindless masses whom we must drag to freedom, kicking and screaming.
In a NORMAL fee environment (let's not call it high fees) - is real impact to UTXOs smaller than 0.01 BTC
IMO they (the state) have no legal standing in declaring tender of: 1) an open-source software, 2) that software being used globally. Regardless of words on paper, they only have the power we concede to them on this matter. Pick your hill.
The weakness IS being a registered corporation. Communism has hacked the "democratic" system.
Your rights have always depended on people collectively asserting and enforcing our rights and freedoms, by any and all means necessary. The state thinks they can control all things on earth by writing words on paper, then having a procedural vote - and showing up with guns to enforce it. Dark times ahead pleb?
The US government against its people. Already underway through countless forms of debasement.
- debasement and dilution of the paper currency
- debasement of our citizenship through unchecked and ILLEGAL immigration
- debasement of our constitutional rights, 1st and 2nd in particular
- debasement of property ownership rights, through runaway taxation and confiscation
- debasement of financial privacy through KYC/AML/FINCEN
- debasement of health through untested "medicines" and forced sub-standard "health insurance"
- debasement of our food supply, through GMO, and poisons
- debasement of our air quality
- debasement of education through boards of education, and common-core
I could go another 20 rows, easily. Most of these infractions are setup to directly benefit corporations, and big-data providers. You know the people who "donate" to politicians, and also lobby for regulations on their industries to then solidify their control the market.
The true terrorist IS THE STATE
Just a review. I only recommend Kaboomracks. I'm not a Bulk purchaser by ANY means. I have placed orders for only two miners thus far. Alex treated me like his favorite customer, answered all my newbie questions, super responsive on the order and shipping statuses. These guys are the standard of how every online merchant should run. Thanks again Alex!

We'll call this the baby-boomer trickle-down society effect.

Totally agree. But I'll also offer as a Gen-X'er Nirvana is terribly overrated; and kicked off a shit-storm of copy cat music.
I downzap only when somebody is being a total prick, or attacking somebody, or myself. Leave the feelings out of SN. I haven't seen any spam here yet, but I would downzap that too.

The above reply by @nullcount is exactly what I was going to add.
There are also methods to hack the S19 hardware, splitting the hash boards out, so that you can mine on 110V, using a single hashboard; if that's useful. I can't find the link for doing this to save my life. But if you're interested, I can get the link from a friend..
No they haven't, they say they are waiting, but when a messiah did arrive they dismissed then killed him because it would upset the good thing they had going for themselves. And BTW, the "Jews" we know today, are not the descendants of the Jews of 2000 years ago.
Is recommend you read the linked article. CTV opens no more shitcoin holes than exist already in Bitcoin. But CTV is the safer route, and gives us superior Vaults, and more efficient lightning channel opens.
CheckTXHashVerify, however does open more dangerous features, including recursive covenants
We spend a lot on premium grounding blankets, grounding footwear, and even grounding for garden plants. "We are not the same" 😉
Don't feel too terrible. This thing will pay itself off in only ~2 years, for you and SO's drinks. Versus going out to get a cup full of sub-par pulls.
Tyler Durden put it best, "The things you own, end up owning you."
In the 70s, my uncle fresh out of University for Engineering was asked to design a component for a household appliance. He created the design, blueprint, specs, and materials. His boss instantly rejected the design, saying it was "too durable", "We have an entire service department with thousands of employees. If we made all of our parts this durable, we would not make revenue on service, and these people would also be out of a job."
I'd also say; reducing durability and quality just below your competitor allows you to undercut your competitors on price, and win the sale. Consumers today expect very little. When things are purchased on an easy credit/debt transaction, rather than hard-earned money - people are less likely to search reviews and ensure they are buying a quality product. Easy money, weak consumers.
"Avoid trading punches with competitors"
Great advise. If you have a quality product there is no need to denigrate others in your space. The only exception to this is, may be calling out a provable danger in another product; with the spirit of having it fixed or improved. At my company we have a rule: "Never punch downward" (at smaller, independent, or new competitors)
ALL of this works only when the money is imaginary. Gold was a liability to their capacity to lie and cheat. The concepts behind Bitcoin make this impossible. No free rides - even for corporations (aka governments) that have a monopoly on guns and violence.
Client source/code centralization is not terrible; it's a strength in many ways. On the flip side, if there were 25 (or 1000) different Bitcoin client implementations, that is now more attack surface due to the developer mind share being spread across those un-related clients. And likely resulting in dis-jointed and incompatible "features".
The Linux Kernel for example benefits greatly from the combined attention to its implementation, and all derivative distributions benefit. Optionally applying patches for their self use-cases; and when it makes sense supplying PRs back into the kernel. Much like Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin Knots, on a much smaller scale.
If there is a hostile or controversial change to Bitcoin Core; there is always the "Fork-it" route. See Bitcoin Cash/BSV, Lightcoin/Doge, etc.
