I've been struggling with OMAD now that I'm doing yoga. If I were eating carbs it might be doable, but I find myself needing to eat something earlier in the day.

I might skip yoga tomorrow. My body is pretty recked after three days in a row. But I do want it to be a habit like drinking water is a habit.

A little ice cream

what kind?

reply

Very cheap free vanilla and chocolate from the freezer at work.

Do you think snacking on some fruit would be enough for yoga days?

I can only imagine the ones with the wooden spoons.

If I added a sweet potato to omad that might be enough. Otherwise, I've found myself eating sardines/oysters/beef jerky early in the day.

reply

I probably wouldn’t even count that as a meal, depending on the quantity.

reply

It's not much of a meal, but OMAD is about not eating anything but one meal.

reply

From what I’ve read about fasting, eating or drinking very small amounts of calories doesn’t shift you out of that metabolic state.

I’m counting days as OMAD whenever I consume less than about 100 calories outside my window.

reply

Oh hm, I guess I've adopted a relatively strict interpretation

What's this Barefoot* you mean you walk without shoes and socks?

reply

When I walk around my neighborhood, no shoes or socks.

Otherwise, I wear shoes that are designed to imitate being barefoot.

reply

I'll try that as well. i mostly walk barefoot on the grass and it feels so good the experience gets even more better if you're getting sunlight at the same time. It's so good for your mental health.

reply

Dude this 3 eggs breakfast with meat, more meat during the day and Greek yogurt for a snack is making me ripped! Ticked it took so long for me to realize Fiat food

reply

There are so many things to unlearn. No shame in not getting it all at once.

reply

I think I'm gonna join. I had a really severe gout attack, and it's waking me up to the fact that my body is changing, i'm getting old, and i need to get better health habits.

reply

Welcome aboard!

I've missed a couple of days, but I'll be back on it today.

reply

I need to figure out exactly what items i want to track, but having some kind of accountability for whatever that is would be good

reply

Just pick one at first. You can always add more later.

Done is better than perfect
