Pretty much a perfect score today. Glad I didn't forget to post.
Hopefully, you all had similarly good days. Let me know in the comments.
I'm adding an item: eat half the portion size that I'd normally eat. This will be kinda subjective, since i don't always eat large portions, but I tend to finish whatever is in front of me, which means that if the plate is large, or if the kids have a bunch of leftovers, I tend to eat it all. I'm gonna try to keep accountability for not doing that, and also of not finishing if the portion is too large.
Feeling some stiffness in my foot again, too. Not sure why. Maybe coz I'm off the ibuprofen now
Interesting addition. That's something I struggle with too.
Been sick for the past week or so. Felt weak, tired, and sleepy a lot, combined with minor muscle ache. Didn't run, didn't do push ups, nor any of the regular exercises that I do. Skipped out on the cold shower as well. Slept a ton.
Feeling much better now. Going to go for my post sickness long run.
Glad you got over it. Other than trying to get out in the Sun a little, I pretty much just get lots of rest and drink tons of OJ, when I'm sick.
Thanks. Yea, I took a lot of vitamin C supplements and ate a lot of citrus fruit. The thing with juice is the sugar. I try to avoid it and eat the actual fruit instead.
Just got back from a 24km run. Felt pretty good besides the slight lingering cough and feeling a bit out of shape. I think I'm going to stay off the cold shower for a bit longer, at least till the cough gets better.
What is your definition of good sleep?
I woke up naturally at 8.40am today instead of my usual 7.30am. My kids managed to sleep in too. This extra hour feels like ten hours of bliss haha
It's basically on feel. If I wake up feeling refreshed and wasn't awake through much of the night, I call it good sleep.
I usually get up early, when I first wake up, rather than trying to get more sleep. That's one reason my sleep is often lacking.
That is an impressive set of wins for the day. OMAD combined with a 20 hour fast can really sharpen insulin sensitivity and make the body more efficient at using stored energy. Pairing that with movement in the form of 11k barefoot steps is great for strengthening foot muscles and improving natural gait mechanics. The dead hang is a small but powerful habit for shoulder health and grip strength and 23 seconds is a solid hold for building from. Cold showers help with circulation and can boost mental resilience although the benefits are often more about the consistent practice than any single session. All in all your mix of nutrition discipline physical activity and recovery practices shows a well rounded approach that is sustainable if you keep at it.
