I'd like to start posting more specific content that's actually desired, and thus, I thought I may start with the ~bitcoin_beginners territory, as I thoroughly enjoy (personally) writing about Bitcoin's technical side- something which can be quite a hassle to many to get a grip on.
If y'all want me to shed a light on any specific part, let me know and I'll let you know if I'm actually capable to do so, or not. 😄

I currently have an idea for running my own business (still just an idea, nothing started yet) but eventually I strive to make this idea a reality, and so my question would be, how can I implement Bitcoin into my future business, in terms of accepting payment as smoothly as possible, run a node or not, things of that nature. Any advice, especially on the technical side would be very much appreciated!
Also, I'm definitely no techy so for me I understand Bitcoin and it's importance more from a non technical, economic perspective, but in your opinion do you think it's paramount that I learn at least the basic technical side of Bitcoin, and where would you recommend I start?

I mean: knowing the basics in regards to what happens after you send a transaction, or what an HD-wallet is and how it works, knowing that too many small UTXO's can become costly in different ways, as well as what a UTXO even is, wouldn't be bad to know IMHO.
You'd want to know what's the smoothest, fastest, cheapest and most comfortable way to receive payments? Cool.

One thing that I think would be valuable would be a basic, explain it to me as if I was five with graphs, explanation of how to identify and track different types of bitcoin transactions on the block chain.

Nice Bitcoinribonucleic double helix you're rocking there, albeit not that symmetrical.

markdown format is kinda weird for this stuff, it remove the spaces

It must be a depiction of opening and closing lightning channels, I guess, but can you explain the significance of the shape? For instance, where on chain and lightning appear to switch places? I knew we needed you back!

It should look like this, but for some reason the spaces at the beginning of each row are removed in markdown.
The representation is about:
  • the strong relation between BTC (onchain) and LN (offchain). They can't evolve without each others. They must run together.
  • as you said correctly it represent also the IN/OUT swaps from a LN channel and also opening and closing LN channels.

Nothing a good bowl of spaghetti can't fix, no?!

Hm, could you expand on that? What types of transactions exactly?
reply
You may say, hey, this guy already did it. But I mean a more basic, step by step describing what is happening and how it appears in a blockchain explorer.
reply
Hm, more compact and more detailed then... I'll have to think that one through, but I agree, it's a good one.

Just a suggestion. I will come up with them, but it's your call. You have to do the heavy lifting!

Keep it coming, chief!
