So, to make it clear: Ukraine is the West’s fault. The US is the West, too. The US should say: FU Ukraine.

Beautiful.

Neutrality, humanitarian aide would have been proper answers. But London and Neocons (the militart complex that's making shitloads of money now) decided differently. The rest is big propaganda gaslighting

reply

Neutrality in Ukraine-Russia conflict would cost West more in the long run. Giving weapons and ammunition to Ukraine is cheaper than maintain bigger standing army later for future threats from Russia.

reply

Russia has never invaded the West

reply

What's your definition of the "West"? They invaded Poland, Finland and Baltics in 1939 and 1940. They took over East and Central Europe countries after WWII. Etc. And idea about empire from Vladivostok to Lisbon is kinda popular among Russian population (I mean it's not something only underground extremists talk about, you can hear such ideas on national TV).

reply

West is the original NATO members.

New members after 1991 are not Western Europe and USA

New members that were former Warsaw Pact members are not considered West.

Baltic countries are not the West.

Ukraine cannot win because they lack manpower.

USA cannot give blank check to Ukraine

reply

These countries were part of Western European cultural sphere for centuries, before Warsaw Pact come into existence. Riga, for example, was one of the main cities of Hanseatic League in Medieval Europe, Poland-Lithuania saved Europe from takeover by Ottomans, etc.

reply

Anything east of the iron curtain is not Western Europe

reply

That's less than 100 years old definition of what is West. Geographically centre of Europe is in Baltics.

West as a culture started with Roman Empire, not Soviet Union.

exactly. Russia has only ever been a threat when it was attacked first. they stood in Paris and Berlin only after they were attacked from there. The same is true about the Baltics, who, let's remember, gleefully joined with the Austrian water color artist in his (originally US-funded, let's not forget) attempt to march east.

reply

No. Russians have attacked Baltics since Medieval times. Learn history, please!

What are you talking about? Latvia was occupied by Soviet Union before Germany attacked Soviet Union. There were two Latvian Waffen SS divisions, but it has nothing to do with Latvian government and 90% of people there were conscripted (you had "free choice" - either go to the front or concentration camp). But they fought bravely anyway, as Soviets were bigger evil than Nazi Germany. Btw, former soldiers of 15th Latvian Waffen SS division were later recruited as the guards at Nurenberg tribunal.

reply

The thing has been lost from day one. Di You still believe in the 'Endsieg'??

reply

No, it isn't lost. Russians are very ineffective at warfare, they try to compensate it by just numbers. If military aid to Ukraine would come faster, Russians would probably be beaten already.

reply
reply

Russian military tech and tactics is no match compared to the West.

reply

Ukraine has a manpower shortage.

Unless you think NATO should send troops

USA and other NATO nations created an untenable Ukraine by dangling EU and NATO membership. They did this knowing this would anger and provoke Russia.

Mearsheimer who is an expert on Russia and Soviet Union history is demanding the West stay out of Ukraine and that Ukraine should be a neutral nation like Switzerland.

reply
Ukraine should be a neutral nation like Switzerland.

This will not work, Russia will consider neutrality as a weakness and will try to take over. This happened to Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia before WWII.

reply

Russia has invaded Ukraine because it is not neutral. Mearsheimer warned everyone in 2015.

reply

No, it invaded because their backed corrupt politicians lost their power.

reply

Color revolution or coup

USA and Europe supported the coup

reply

It was revolution, because it had popular support. Coup is when small group of people take over without popular support, like bolsheviks did in Russia in 1917.

reply

A revolution that was provoked by EU and USA

Zelensky has not been topped because of aid from USA. Once money stops flowing he will be deposed via coup or revolution.

Many people are leaving Ukraine. Not a revolution but abandonment. Men are leaving because they don’t want to fight or die.

Without men Ukraine will lose regardless of money and military aid from USA

reply
A revolution that was provoked by EU and USA

Yes, and collapse of Soviet Union was also provoked by USA, right? Or maybe people just didn't want to live like that anymore. Ok, maybe getting information about people abroad living differently is provocation, then yes.

Many people are leaving Ukraine. Not a revolution but abandonment. Men are leaving because they don’t want to fight or die.

That is happening everywhere. Some people just don't want to fight. Millions of Russians are leaving their country too. Still have Russian friends in Moscow, they are planning to leave, it's just not so simple right now, leaving Ukraine is simpler.

What was the reason for revolution?

EU and NATO membership

Russia will never accept Ukraine nation backed by western great powers

reply

NATO membership wasn't idea back in the day, whole thing was about association agreement with EU.

Ukraine itself has potential to become regional great power. That's, I think, is one of the reasons why military aid is given only for Ukraine not to lose, not enough for the fast win. As militarily Ukraine already could beat Germany, for example (they destroyed more Russian tanks in the first week of full scale Russian invasion than German army has in working condition).

Here you see “propaganda” in action, @TomK!

reply

Wrong again @oliverweiss

You clearly have no knowledge about the history of NATO and Russia and Ukraine

Mearsheimer is an expert on the former Soviet Union. His YouTube lecture from 2015 has 30 million views

His view is not propaganda. He opposed NATO enlargement in the 1990s and today

Not fuck you Ukraine 🇺🇦

The policy should a neutral Ukraine which Russia will accept
