Renewing my efforts to prepare for interviews
What do you do in your spare time?
While being a father of two keeps me busy, I still prioritise personal development. I try to read whenever I can because Iโ€™m always interested to incorporate new methods to improve myself. I also make it a habit to listen to podcasts like The School of Greatness and The Daily Stoic on the Fountain app. Since Iโ€™m an English teacher, my love for writing goes beyond the classroom. Writing is part of my daily routine, and I post my thoughts and feelings on my blog consistently.

I agree with your views on English. It couldn't have been better explained. After years of dealing with it, I still haven't gotten used to it. And the whole world has to learn this language in today's conjuncture. I know you're an English teacher. You love English. But I'm not.
There are interesting articles on your blog. I will read it when I have time. Thank you.

One kind of neat thing with with fee credits, cowboy credits, or whatever we'll end up calling them, is that we can make them non-fungible if we wanted. Maybe each one is slightly different and some are worth keeping as flair. It'd make it more fun to use them when a person doesn't have a way to use real bitcoin at least.
reply
can we have an auction house to buy cowboy items and armor like in World of Warcraft ? Make a new "World of Stackers"
reply
121 sats \ 23 replies \ @k00b 13 Jun
Yes, I'd love that. Perhaps we don't need a store though, and cowboy credits are items. Meaning, without using lightning, you are "stuck" using a barter system.
For example: Instead of you have 3 cowboy credits, it's you have 1 apple and 2 nails. Then, maybe if you get a certain configuration of cowboy credits, you can build new items. e.g. take 4 wheels, 100 nails, 20 wood boards and build a wagon.
reply
Are these items convertible into sats?
reply
37 sats \ 16 replies \ @k00b 13 Jun
Only if they're given to SN as payment. Then SN can pay them out as sats in rewards.
reply
Could you give an example of how it works? For example:
  1. buying items with sats
  2. zap other stackers with items
  3. etc []. exchange for sats
reply
  1. buying items with sats
  2. zap other stackers with items
Then ...
  1. items paid to SN as fees for posting/commenting/zapping/donations go to the rewards pool
  2. SN pays rewards out in sats

Note: people will only use barter and have items if they don't have a lightning wallet attached for send/receive.
reply
Hi, having problems to attach wallet to send. Already sorted to receive. Any indications or help please?

when the cowboy credits would be out in the wild?
Play WoW for 1 month and you will see how to do it.
reply
I don't have the patience for that kind of game
nooo, make it even more fun and challenged. Bring the free market in place: create an auction house for cowboy credits if somebody wants to take them out of SN. That means, somebody else in SN world will pay me 100 sats (outside SN) for 90 cowboy credits in a SN auction and the cowboy credits will always remain inside SN.
Don't tell me you never played WoW...
reply
noooo! items gathered into WoS remain inside. You can use them to build your wagon, cowboy outfit or buy more guns and armies.

We need to overhaul profile pages. I agree the profile pages shouldn't show the comments.
I'd love to pay someone on the FOSS team to do it, but it requires both a design and implementation.
reply
IIRC this is tracked in GitHub, to some extent. Giving stackers a way to pin posts to their profile instead of showing comments, right?
reply
100 sats \ 1 reply \ @k00b 13 Jun
To some extent, yes. It really needs a full-blown redesign, but pinning posts will probably be part of that, so a redesign doesn't block that.

Verified Claim

There must be a verified claim in court, meaning a claim must be backed by a private natural person or โ€œliving breathing man or womanโ€ and, if an affidavit is present, that private natural person can be cross-examined in court, on the day.
If a name of a corporation is given, then a private natural person representing the corporation or โ€œlegal fictionโ€ will have to accept liability for the claim.
If no one is willing to take responsiblity, liability and the consequences of making the claim, then there is no claim. And, without a claim, you must question why you are even in court at all.
There can be no cause of action if there is no claim, meaning there is no case.
reply
I like those fake court announcements like: "People vs John Smith" ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
But who the fuck is "people" in this claim? Who are those people that nobody is mentioning their name? I would like to see those "people" here in front of me, explaining their claim, one by one if they are many.

I dreamed about (almost) being in a car accident today.
The driver was driving at high speed and reckless; overtaking cars on the right and with little to no margin. I told him to slow down because it's only a matter of time until he's going to lose control. He lost control of the vehicle after passing another car too close and steering the car back into the line. We were spinning at high speed.
Apparently, all I would do in such a case is to say "Told you so." and brace for impact. I closed my eyes and started to calculate the chances of survival and at what cost. I saw none. I sighed.
When I opened my eyes, we were in a parking lot with no damages. I said to myself: "Damn, next time I'm not going to close my eyes!"
Not sure how representative this is of the real thing (probably not very much) but it felt pretty real ๐Ÿ‘€
reply
it was real or just a dream ?
reply
you will never know
the more interesting Q is why you had that dream, is it a warning of something?
reply
In my opinion, dreams don't have a meaning, that's just people wanting answers to everything. Dreams are simply forgotten memories in our brains.
