it may not be the way i want, for the fee i want, or with the wallet i want, and sometimes not even from my own wallet 😜.

No one solved my Easter egg hunt but @0xbitcoiner gave it a good try.

In today's This Day on SN post, a post from @nout from 2021 was featured. It talked about https://lightningbutton.com/

I had never heard of this project, so I clicked the link and then proceeded to click the CLICK ME button. I was redirected to a scammy "earn crypto" site. Then I discovered the click me redirect button could be purchased for sats and all it cost to displace the scammy site was 7910 sats, so I reclaimed the lightning button from the jaws of scam crypto and redirected it to Stacker News, where it belongs.

I don't know if anyone outside of the stackers will ever find the lightning button again but if they do they will find us. Thanks for everything you do to make stacker news a great community @k00b, @ek, contributors and all stackers.

I am 99% certain I zapped @Natalia's new post yesterday #638672, but today I did not see the lightning bolt as colored, so I zapped it again.

Checking my wallet history, I also don't see any zapped activity for that post.

My hunch is, since I use undoable zaps, I closed the SN PWA before the zap was finalized. Be careful out there stackers, this could bite you!

I'm mostly using SN on a desktop, and it also happened few times that the zaps failed, but then it would pop a retry option, not sure how it works in SN pwa.

I think if the zaps failed on PWA, the retry also would occur. But the way "undoable zaps" are implemented, the zaps sit on your client for 5 seconds before actually being sent to the server, so if you close the app/webpage before that 5 seconds is up, it's like it never happened.

If the zap is pulsing, you need to let it finish else it won’t arrive on the server. So if you close the window before it’s finished, the zap never happened (just like @WeAreAllSatoshi described).

Calling it „undo“ is the confusing part, it’s technically more a delay.

Refusal

When someone offers you a service or product, do not say you refuse.

Saying you refuse indicates that you had a prior obligation to accept the service or product being offered, and you have now defaulted on your “prior obligation”.

For example: do not refuse a test, just decline the test. If you refuse, the one making the offer will continue as if you have now defaulted on a prior “obligated contract”.

The correct response would be to “decline the offer”, as this shows this is the first time the offer has been made, and therefore there cannot be any prior obligation within a contract to accept.

If they persist, then they are without honour and you can make a counter claim against them.

I feel something really different in creating content in V4V VS in the fiat world.

In the fiat world, what most people try to do is get as much attention as possible ( thus many eye-catching titles ), then either do ads, sell courses, or maybe even build their business because maybe 1% - 5% of the audience would ever support you, so you need to get the base number BIG enough.

But in the V4V world, everyone is free to choose how they want to support the creators, as simple as zapping 1 sat or zapping you as much as they want if want to keep seeing good content, really interesting.
