Yep. Maybe it's the election? Things do feel tense.
I'm used to getting some bullshit troll stuff lobbed at me, but two respectable people picked fights with me simply for trying to calm and help them, and then they continued to throw punches even when I did my usual "roll over and show my belly special" which tends to bring ordinary people back from their keyboard rage.
reply
Most of mine have been in conversations about foreign countries, so it's a little odd to get such testy responses. I also tried to deescalate and indicate that I wasn't interested in fighting, but wasn't taken up on it.

International affairs don't seem very good either and we are involved in most of the conflicts financially at least. If we can believe the candidate, those conflicts will go different ways depending on the election too.
reply
That's true. A couple of the conversations could certainly fall into that category, but a couple others just seemed like someone was really intent on grinding their particular axe.

Looking at the shopstr stuff.
Created a store in shopstr, created a printify account.
Looking to dropship to freaks.
Gotta test the functionality and products
Was pretty fun, I made some shoe, shirt, pants designs Made a notebook bag and mask design as well
The store is called TheRemoteHustle
I want to have a nice collection of
  • inexpensive durable and stylish shirts/shoes/pants/bags
  • Bitaxe accessories or Bitaxes
  • Flipper Zero and seed signer things
  • Notebooks/masks/accessories bitcoiners might find useful
  • Artwork and calendars
I'll initially use the shop purely for my own benefit. Just want clothes that arent crazy expensive or cheap in quality and appearance.
Focusing on curating my environment. If a freak wants one of the things I'm rocking on a daily basis........they can have it.
Curating my own fashion/music/art........finances, diet.....
I'm pretty much focused on the journey to Galts Gulch, Hustle will make it there one of these days.

What do you think? I wasn't born before 90s. I don't know about those people. I came to know about her only a few years ago.

I read her books when I was 10-12 years old. In a fucking communist regime where her books were PROHIBITED. That was 40 years ago.

So, that's the reason you're too wise. Also, 49 years ago is a long time and you still believe in her says that her words are meant for current world.

Is it only I who is seeing so many AI generated and copy and posts (mostly via reddit) posts today? One or two new Stackers continuing the same way even after they had been suggested not to do it.
reply
That's what downzaps are for.
I likely miss almost anything that's copied from elsewhere. Seemingly AI content I usually ignore, because I'm not very confident in my ability to spot it.
reply
There are tools for it. If something is written in a very sophisticated English. I always check. There are a number of short posts today which suggest to ask a question to Stackers are copied content and with minor changes, they are posted.

SN auto posts Fun Fact Friday now. I have been automated out of my job.
It will post at 10am CT.
reply
What 😯!! Why not make everything automated? It gets boring when the bot watches over.
reply
Agree. I think this day on SN was better when @Undisciplined was posting it and the bounties are more fun when someone is engaging with each submission.
SN should just have an intern managing the SN account as a social media manager for a brand would manage various social media accounts and engage with the community.
reply
I also don't like making sudden changes to SN zaps and rewards system without asking Stackers. Yesterday's change felt me like anything can be on SN.
reply
I am not going down this rabbit hole. I debated with k00b last Friday. I don't want to make it a weekly thing. I don't mind testing a larger fee and see if it does a good job rooting out spam, which is a difficult problem. I think 30% is a bit high. It is nice for territory founders to get more revenue but also more to the rewards pool means daily sats distributions will be even more top heavy amongst the top stackers.
We will see how it plays out. It's an experiment.
reply
30% is really big it isn't good for pools. I was thinking to make a pool out of polls but it's like over now. If we choose other options over zapping, why would we create a pool on SN?
reply
I will have to give it some thought regarding future pools but for the current football pool we will probably just pay by lightning invoice for the remaining re-buys an payouts. Maybe I will have to sort out an ecash option for future ones.
Last year, we went through different experiments with the rewards system almost every month. They got distracted with the wallet stuff, but the norm is fiddling with the rewards system.
reply
It shouldn't be. Every time they fiddle with the rewards system we see some long term stackers leave. For you it's a fun experiment. For me it is poor operational execution of a business.

Hey freaks,
So, my carnivore diet has devolved into something like a keto diet.
Broke down yesterday and ordered chipotle with meat salsa and beans and veggies.
Today I'm resisting the urge for a tropical smoothie bannana flatbread with granola.
Just ate eggs and bacon, but still hungry.
Went on a 5k run this morning (29:31)
Maybe another chipotle bowl will do.
Suggestions are welcome.
reply
I started back eating carbs early this year when my weight dropped from 210 to 175. I was craving sweets too. Later I found out my medicines had started working too well and my blood sugar and blood pressure was too low. Carbs were about the only thing I was eating. Now, since I eliminated some and reduced other medicines, my weight is back to normal. I was just thinking yesterday about going all carnivore again. All I had yesterday was meat.
reply
I've really got to do something about the constant hunger.
I've been eating steak, salmon, eggs. Threw in Bananas and mixed fruit, drinking coffee with honey.
I'm 145 pounds........hold on. I'm 138 pounds. Wasnt looking or expecting to lose weight.
I'll try to hold off on carbs for as long as I can, looks like another chipotle bowl for lunch and surf and turf for dinner, maybe a mango smoothie or some fruit or cheese in between.
reply
constant hunger
My remedy for this is to eat more saturated fat.
reply
Noted.
Are there any specific foods or dishes you would recommend?
reply
I eat 1/2 pound of hamburger meat per day. I can't find any with more than 27 percent of fat. Kroger has it in 1 pound tubes which makes it perfect for freezing. It's always on sale too. More fat adds to the flavor and juiciness. I also eat 4 jumbo egg yolks, 1/8 pound of butter and 1/3 pound of bacon per day. The cheapest bacon has the most fat and the best consistency and flavor. Then I still add carbs on top of that. Everything is cooked in bacon grease unless I run out. I keep lard as a backup but bacon grease is the best. It makes my iron skillets nice and slick.

Much appreciated!

Admiralty Law:

The High Court of Admiralty was first considered during the reign of Edward the 1st, 1272-1307 and it is now generally accepted that the court emerged after the Battle of Sluys in 1340, and became established in 1360 when it was granted jurisdiction over civil maritime cases.
These courts specified in disputes and claims arising from contracts and torts of the high seas, usually dealing with lost or spoiled cargo or disputes between a business owner and a ship-owner, who had failed to deliver.
Admiralty law or Court dealt with the different jurisdiction between the Law of the Land and the Law of the Sea, and ultimately gained control and seized the power to create the laws that would govern all ships.
Over time the Law of the Land has been replaced by the Law of the Sea, where water holds no mark.
