Yep. Also I think Bitcoin would still go forward without LN, but maybe slower. LN as a mean of payment, will bring a boost for Bitcoin and a quicker adoption. But it still would have succeed for its others use cases IMO

But I agree that if widely adopted LN will help filling blocks and drive up block reward, allowing us to forget sooner than expected about this (stupid IMO) fear of empty block in 20 years.
