As we all know, SN will no longer support its own wallet. And we will see Cowboy Credits or whatever. #816152
I pushed this to the maximum! I thought a lot of people would figure out what to do until then.
So today is the day and I had to do it. Honestly, almost 4 hours later and a smoking brain, I am exhausted and feel even dumber than I thought I already was.
Usually I let @denlillaapan the work for me.
But his post #829853 did not inspire optimism, quite the opposite.
Whatever it is, it's the day of days, so it has to be done today.
Will I start the Hustle with Alby Hub and try to figure everything out? Let's go down that rabbit hole, because he did.
So I looked at this guide from @DarthCoin: #701233 Sorry Darth, but now I feel like I should be the student in my school, not the teacher. I feel like I am back to square one.
Not realy...
I stumbled upon this post #734092 from @DEADBEEF. This was promissing.
So I did what any non-technical person with basically no understanding would do.
I followed this guide from @realBitcoinDog! #694593 #734359
It was easy and it worked! Just took me a little more than half an hour and the auto withdrawal feature makes it good enough for me to not be self custody! Since the withdrawal goes into my self custody wallet.
But for honorable mentions, this path seems interesting and I want to explore it in the near future! #833428
Thanks for pointing this out@0xbitcoiner.
But for now, I am no longer afraid of tomorrow, and that is the part that counts.
Thanks to all the stackers here for providing so much knowledge to learn from! Here is to another great year of Stacker News and a wonderful 2025.

Thank goodness I have my husband who takes care of all these things, so that later he can explain things to me in a nutshell and my face looks like this:

I found @SimpleStacker's Alby Hub guide very easy to follow: #723978

found that pretty useful as well, but I got a bunch of screens from Alby that wasn't in his guide

Interesting. There have been a few updates since then.
I recall having a problem following one of the other guides, because my Alby Hub was out of date.
Like you said before, the level of user complexity is way too high.
reply

I do hope we'll laugh at this one day

Connecting a wallet isn't incredibly difficult. A guide should get stickied imo
