All the time. I'm in the minority in a house full of Apple users, too.
I don’t even have Siri turned on and that still happens.

that's normal. People don't even realize and think these are kind of coincidences.
reply
Yes. That's the point of the lawsuit. Siri is turned on surreptitiously.

The wildest part is that Apple can settle but still don't admit they were actually doing it.

Some times it does seem like a coincidence. If I say “I wonder what the score of the game is” and then go to google and start typing in MLB it is highly likely it is going to suggest mb scores.
But the craziest one I have had is a few years ago we were Christmas shopping at Indigo which is our version of Barnes and Noble and I mentioned this board game they had on sale to my wife as I thought my son might like it. I have never seen this game before or looked up anything similar. I wanted to find out what the reviews for the game were like and I go to google and literally the first letter I type the name of the game pops up. That was so creepy. Only possible if it was listening.

I remember a few years back there was something about how one of those programs recorded a domestic violence case. I cant remember fully what happened, but 911 might have been called.

not sure is about apple, is about the permissions you grant to the apps you install

Can you explain further? I don't have an iPhone, but I think in this case Siri was turned off. Can it be removed from the OS?

You mention Google, well check all your google apps and the permissions they have to access camera, mic, etc... in your phone settings, it happens on android too.
reply
No doubt. I use a graphene OS pixel without any Google apps, and I'm not confident I'm safe either.
