Nova astronomical event the name "nova", Latin for "new" and Rift I took randomly.

Back from when i started running my (now defunct) LN routing node. I wanted something that would soft doxx me in the sense that i wanted to have random people connect to me because of my unique geographical location. It kinda worked. I kept the nym as i joined SN as i was still running the node.

I got it from a random word generator. Granted, I did reject a few that I didn't like until I got Signal.

I was trying to get into the business of news by a website for which I even registered the domain by the name Coinsreporter and since then I just used it.

Kontext originates from my real name (Harder Kink) as per the Onyx track "Slam Harder" I got the nickname Slam, which somehow evolved into Slam Dunk Contest. And one of my friends, intentionally or not, turned that more into a Slam Tank Context. I liked the word context as it's what gives meaning to everything, and being a rapper, seemed suitable. As I was already rapping in both Estonian and English, I changed the C to a K so the word would also be sort of half-English, half-Estonian (context; kontekst)

No big story for me! I usually make up new usernames as I'm signing up for something, so it's often pretty random. I like Linux, so that's where the penguin came from. I was staring off into space trying to come up with something else to put with it, and space = astro! Then an underscore because I don't like usernames that are all one word or have spaces.

I was creating yet another name to login. This time reddit and just combined my status as an expat and my disdain with the US to form a kind of double meaning that reflects my feelings for my country

My nym is the name of the protagonist of the novel "The Idiot", Prince Myshkin. He's a naive, not articulated, child-like russian guy that, despite being not very clever, triggers a lot of empaty in the reader. He turns out to be a better person than who's around him, despite his low intelligence.

He embodies the idea whereby sometimes The Good is not explainable. He's not articulate at all, but he's a better person than anyone else in the novel. Kind of precursor of Alyosha Karamazov' naivety.
