Personally I would only ever buy a machine from this list: https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/certified-hardware/
Whatever you buy though, don't put windows on it
Yes, on desktop, daily / main driver
On laptop though, not so great as it affects battery and triggers fans
Qubes OS is the best OS, you can completely separate different areas of your digital life. If you're going to dive in, get a qubes certified machine for minimum hassles
Made you an archive, is it any better? https://archive.ph/hShGf
It's relatively easy so long as you don't put a sim card in your phone!
Mudi GL 750 with Blue Merle for the win

And you're a bitcrazy if you think we've reached hyperbitcoinisation already
Cash and Bitcoin are perfect compliments
Cash is way better than all the bankstering proposed in these other threads
Once you understand bitcoin, you'll realise that cash is really the best option for payments in meatspace.
But anyway, make the most of it, because cash will disappear whether we like it or not.
This makes no sense.
If you need something, you should always purchase it with Bitcoin.
If the seller doesn't take Bitcoin, then swap some BTC for fiat cash and use that instead. Don't hold too much fiat cash though, at least not more than you can afford to lose.
Cash is risky, especially over long periods.
This IS financial advice.
your question wasn't clear, but if you're not a techy guy I would say don't do either of them.
get a hardware wallet.
This is the way :-)
And here is that map: https://btcmap.org
Honestly, it sounds like you are best served by a custodial lightning solution. I would not worry about storing funds on-chain if you are concerned about the cost of a dedicated hardware device. During busy periods, a hardware device is easily less than the cost of a few on-chain transactions.
Try Wallet of Satoshi, Blink, or Phoenix
Once you have stacked over $500 of BTC, I would then recommend spending some sats on that hardware wallet device, moving half to cold storage, and securing your seed offline.
Simplex Chat has Voice / Video calls, w/o a phone number and without any user identifiers at all
Plus you can run your own server, it's fully open source, audited, and secure/private by design.
If you want to announce something to the world, the best place is Nostr.
If you want to communicate privately, the best place is Simplex.
aha - so the amount shown on the post includes the rewards? that would explain it as it's roughly the same.
thankyou!
FYI, intuitively, I would have expected rewards to appear in (private) Satistics, but not in the associated (public) post total..
Either that or I'd expect the satistics to break down the rewards by post. Not sure how else I'd have been able to reconcile the above difference. I get that it's probably an experiment though, so if it's all temporary, feel free to ignore my feedback!
