Awesome progress for the first three weeks.
Simple and clean as well.
I see the biggest change is we did not go down the 2FA / mobile # path...
On the social part, (1) I wonder if you plan to enable pfp upload to IFPS. The input URL field is clean and intuitive rn. Great experience, but I'm not sure others share the same sentiment.
Just food for thought. Also, (2) no mandatory field e.g. Twitter handle input is welcomed. (3) Anon as default is also good, and based on the Scoreboard for the third iteration, I think that's the preferred way to go, too.
Good stuff !
Yes, agreed, still testing it... on the wallet point, the UI on desktop is clean, clearly showing what's available on desktop and otherwise. Well done @juan.
The button on the bottom is clear as well and I clicked through I have a wallet, so I am not sure what happens if you click through to create a new wallet.
More often than not, other platforms confuse users at this stage with TMI on custodial / non-custodial wallets which is an immediate turn off.
We shall see re what ends up coming through.
(1) tread lightly
(2) option to opt out (avoid spamming) is key
Thanks again, man !
Will you crossover / work with SN ?
Thanks @geyserfund
Less than half the US-listed public miner hash-rate could be a favorable outcome, yes... I would add:
(1) How these companies are listed (SPAC, or even direct listing) could affect future ability to raise funds.
(2) Furthermore, increasing reliance on debt is not really discussed (e.g. a sustainable level).
(3) Finally ,the merits of a public listing goes beyond just capital raise (e.g. disclosure of energy source), so it's probably too early to tell if it is better or worse to rely on public markets for the long-term sustainability of the Bitcoin mining industry.
Cheers :)
I see... guess so and may not be necessary to completely re-wire your brain, but it helps to understand something natively, and when we still have to choice to (instead of being forced to).
I also found it helpful to learn (and try to understand) concepts like the UTXO model, which is still a bit foreign otherwise.
Health-check @COLDCARDwallet over NFC is dope !
Just checked this out https://twitter.com/Timbersports thanks dude !
Looks amazing, enjoy !
strictly articles? I am still burning through / trying to understand Lopp's work https://www.lopp.net/articles.html
Thanks man @k00b!
Will take it out for a spin...
... for now, may I suggest the what/sorting/when drop down box to appear when you click on the search button (magnifying glass)? I get the cleaner look and "refine" search appeal as well, so just a suggestion, open to comments.
Cool. More or less on the same page then. Personally, I think:
(1) SN has a great community;
(2) Long form, thoughtful posts should be encouraged (I care less about toxicity, echo chambers, etc.). As mentioned in other posts, I would further further divide that into (a) well organized threads including blogs with follow-up's, and (b) first hand experience type tutorials on everything Bitcoin.
Re: your point on upvote and tips - not sure how posts get pushed to "TOP", but another feature to upvote should be reasonably simple to implement and for the community to understand.
I enjoyed Reddit and HN, and hope SN will move slowly to find its niche - wherever we end up landing.
Not so popular posts are welcomed and encouraged
No earn is more or less up to the community, and I don't really see an abuse (spamming) of link share, or dilution of the shares for that matter (you can ask the content creators themselves)?
I do think SN needs more long form (maybe even original) content that is specific to Bitcoin, though. These tend to receive the most readership anyway, and by extension of that, tips.
Lastly, I like the way you titled the post, until we get clearly defined tags and labels.
Good stuff man !
