Absolutely all downside risk is on me - the contract is written in FIAT terms - as that is the how I had valued the property when it was purchased and currently all the expenses are valued...so the resident(s) will pay sats based on exchange rate at the time rent is due....

they can "recognize" the 50% share of value appreciation in those sats at any time for the 6 month period afterwards....so this is the real risk to the model....if FIAT value of sats moons...lets say 10x's they could in essence "lock in" 3 or 4 months of rent free in FIAT terms....and if I have overleveraged myself and the FIAT value of those sats drops again....it is on me (the business)....now I know this, and I am not over-leveraged and I am know this will happen from time to time....and I welcome it :)

My hope is that it would also strengthen my resident(s) willingness to use sats even more in the future and maybe even harden their resolve to my level...and have them begin pushing other businesses and/or starting their own businesses operating on Bitcoin!

It certainly is massive when compared to the past... I do believe it is inevitable that it will continue for eternity (unless we snuff humanity out of existence...)

Something like that... I don't think Bitcoin shall find space in normie life...and that it is the other way around....all our normie lives are going to find a way to incorporate Bitcoin into them?

Think about it...everything our "normie lives" previously ran on...our "source code" if you will was written with a bad line as it entails how humans will exchange value with each other.... when we figure this out - some of us "reboot" and begin running with the new line and those that don't....well....let's just say it gets more and more difficult to replicate oneself when your operating system just can't "compete" with the new one.

At least that's my humble opinion...

So I am thankful that "The McCormack Show" has a thorough understanding of Bitcoin... and I am concerned that have also seen many Bitcoiner's get too big for their britches so to speak and it usually ends poorly for them. Especially when no one around them is able to get them to shift their focus... And NO I am not saying this is what has happened with Pete....just that I am concerned that it could be what is to come...only the Timechain will prove it out.

I love Pete for sure even though I never met him face to face - I fear that this change seems forced to me... I truly hope Peter isn't trying to hard to become something that he isn't and he is instead settling in to "his own skin" but alas his announcement has a couple comments that worry me.

I am going to ask that you walk thru two mental models with me....the first is not difficult as it is the world which we all know or knew before Bitcoin found us and/or infected us....

This world is much of what I described above...people fighting for attention, trying to sell you a new invention, that is sure to make your life better for the low low price of (whatever fiat value you want) and (this is the best part) you can save 10% if you pay in Bitcoin or what about this one....I will have to charge you more if you pay in FIAT...

Like what the actual FIAT FUCK WORLD are we Bitcoiners living in???

I get it....I'm not really mad at anyone for operating this way....I mean we have lived in FIAT world for so long that we have literally forgotten how to be human and to care and feel for one another. How to truly try to help each other live the best life/lives we can and most importantly how "money" is not the most important thing in the world. But I digress....

Our world (pre-Bitcoin) was/is one which is clearly to all, going to hell/shit. This is really not even debateable unless of course (you have a tremendous amount of wealth/money and haven't had to ever show "proof of work" for any of it) Otherwise for 99% or likely more of the humans living on the planet it is clear that we are not flourishing but rather we are literally scrambling to kill and/or steal everything we can from each other in the hopes of securing our families ability to continue perpetuating the cycle for longer than anyone else....

That - my friends...my brethren...my compatriots....is what Bitcoin fixes...is the paradigm Bitcoin shifts...is the belief system Bitcoin blows away and replaces with anew....

This brings us to the second mental model....this is one that you may not be as familiar with or as assured of....this is one that is a possibility and not guaranteed...this is one based off not the historical precedence carved into rock over ages but rather the one being carved into the cold, hard, ice that has built up on those eons of history and left frozen in the spacetime of of our collective pasts...the same pasts which nature has had us believe we are destined to repeat over and over and over again until the end of time....

Well, that ice built up and as it built up it got closer and closer to the sun, and it began to melt....and that melt slowly began to trickle down deeper and deeper and longer and longer into the icy depths of the past and slowly it has begun to change the future some of us believe is coming....we have begun to hope beyond all hope that humanity isn't destined to repeat or even rhyme with our past and that we are now able to choose this new path....we are writing a new history....based upon a ledger that is immutable and honest....one that doesn't care what any of its users record on it....it just is....it just is....it just is....much like natural laws.....it just is an honest representation of what was/is transacted at that particular moment of the timechain.

This world that is coming or is here.... simply is not yet recognized by us all... simply will take centuries to even begin to start to understand.... (Remember we have had thousands of years....literally our entire history of civilization, to attempt to make sense of the old world paradigm and here we are 15 years into the new one and some of us have the gumption to state we know what this is....and what it does for humanity??? Come on....I mean sure we are the smartest humans that have ever roamed the face of the planet but fuck we are dumb.... I mean we are literally killing each other daily, we are trying to kill this planets ecological evolutionary biosphere....lots of us believe we are better than others because of the stupidest reasons such as the color of their skin or eyes??? I mean WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK people.....get over your selves....

Shoot - I digressed again.... Much of this past has been built upon the false pretense of value being communicated fairly when in reality it was being manipulated by both or all parties involved in the transaction so that it benefited them the most....and those that came out ahead "won" the biological, reproduction lottery and those that lost....well...you know hos that ends....

We have now entered unchartered territory - we live in a world being rebuilt on trust, freedom and honesty....

We now live in a world that unites, and appreciates and values differences among us.

We now live in a world that records all valuable transactions on a timechain that cannot be altered or destroyed (so long as we continue to protect it).

This seems to easy to be honest with you...though I guess it depends on your(their) timeline???

If it is this fall....and they don't want to learn any of the free online coursework that is out there then it gets a little more difficult...

There are a bunch of online free college courses and degrees right now....

Everything else will be free in a matter of years....literally AI is going to be able to provide you with free learning on any subject for virtually free...

It is absolutely mind bending and yet one of the most important concepts that builders/devs etc... should be keeping in the back of their minds... everything they do is going to be recorded on the blocks for as long as the Bitcoin period exists....

As everything moves to being built on Bitcoin - those aligned most closely will be most successful and those that are simply trying to extract value will be lost to the annals of time

I guess - I think all businesses should not be in business for the profit....they should be in business because they provide "value" to someone or some group of someone's that are willing to pay them for that value? Maybe it is splitting hairs/hares?

I guess this business model as I originally described could also be started as normal or for-profit business but when I try to build that business in my head it always gets jumbled up when I try to figure out how to reconcile the need to provide a "profit" or "return" to the investor....with operating on a deflationary monetary system that "as it grows it also grows in value" until it is the value and when that happens....and you stop increasing the rent and start decreasing the income in BTC terms... you are no longer able to provide a "return" you will simply be providing value until these items reach their "marginal cost of production" in which case your product or service needs to be providing the most value to its users or it will fail...and it needs to do that in a self-sustaining or circular way or it will fail....

I work for a couple of non-profits right now and understand some of the scrutiny they face.... I think building one based on Bitcoin and based in Bitcoin's ethos is a recipe for infinite success and continued growth and prosperity for all who utilize/interact with it.

Tangent --- I think a whole lot of "regulation" and "laws" are/have been put in place as an emergent behavior of the current monetary/financial system and its base layer "technology" being the good faith and whatever the fuck the people programmed in those systems want or try to believe....

Bitcoin - overwrites all those systems....rewrites - all those programs.... and replaces it with ones that simply cannot be manipulated.... so with Bitcoin as the base protocol of all those systems - the people/businesses that are programmed and operate within or upon them, and that are successful in the long term, do so by enacting emergent behaviors/rules/regulations that are the best aligned with the network.

This takes me back a little as well to my thoughts on the incentives bitcoin companies are currently utilizing to try and drive their growth....and how most companies providing incentives are doing so by providing incentives based on the old "FIAT" models and how I think that those are going to prove out to be unsustainable for the "long term." (but this would be another tangent :) and I will stop here)

Back to your comment though....and hopefully some find these thoughts helpful.... It is not a surprise to me that us (humans-supercomputers running on inputs based on a protocol that is able to be manipulated) would have started "nonprofits" that attempted to manipulate the system(s) they were working within...and my hope/belief is that the model I suggested and hope to start up is closely aligned with the network protocol it is going to operate on/in and therefor will be among the most succesful and long-lasting systems built upon and adopted by a majority of the users of said network.

But that's just my two sats.... :)
