Eagle Bluffs can be reached via two different routes. The first route is via the Baden Powell Trail, which I went solo back in the summer of 2017, is a 10km out and back difficult trail with 980m elevation gain. I went when the forest fires were burning really bad in the north, so I had thick smoke as my view.
Forest fire smoke blocked out the view.
I eventually went to Eagle Bluffs again with my family in the summer of 2020. This time, I took them on the less difficult route that starts from the Cypress Mountain resort. The trail is also an out an back trail totaling 8km long and 440m elevation gain. The trail, like most north western Canadian trails, traverses through forests, passing by tall and thick trees. The trail also continues on a steady incline and passes by a few lakes. The trail eventually narrows and do get muddy if it had rained in the few days prior. After about 4km of hiking, there emerges a clearing of a rocky bluff, which is the viewpoint at Eagle Bluffs. The viewpoint boasts beautiful views of Vancouver and surrounding cities to the south, and Howe Sound islands and Sunshine Coast to the west.

I believe this is Cabin Lake.

If I'm not mistaken, this should be Cougar Lake.

Beautiful. I see the olympic rings in one pic. What events did they hold there?

Thanks.
Cypress was the venue for Freestyle Skiing (Aerials, Moguls, Ski Cross) and Snowboarding (Halfpipe, Parallel giant slalom, Snowboard cross) during the 2010 Winter Olympics.
