This week we visit the Pincushion Mountain Trail at Peachland, BC, in the heart of the Okanagan region, BC's wine country. This is a 3.5km out and back trail with about 260m elevation gain, that is moderately challenging due to the steady incline throughout the trail. We hiked the trail on July 1st, 2022, on Canada day, during our road trip to Kelowna and the Okanagan region. Due to the dry weather, the trail was very dry and the dry loose gravel made it quite slippery. It was fine going uphill, but we had to be careful on our way down. My little one, who was 4 at the time, walked all the way to the viewpoint by himself, for which I was quite proud of.
Little one hiking the trail on his own.
Dry gravel trail was quite slippery due to gravel being loose.
Taking a break at a midway viewpoint.
The viewpoint at the top shows beautiful views of Okanagan Lake, as well as the town of Peachland, BC, and part of the Okanagan Valley. There was also a Canadian flag at the viewpoint, which I found quite fitting because it was Canada day on the day of our hike.

I was pointing out some boats to my little one when wife snap this pic.
