So we've just (4 blocks ago) closed out difficulty epoch #412 with a -2.90% difficulty adjustment down and an average block time of 10 min 18 sec. That was after the two previous epochs of strong adjustments up (8.24% and 7.33%).

Boom a run and Bitcoin podcast today oh and I was an idiot in the past and staked my sats in Gemini Earn. It now sounds like I’ll get it All back plus the planned interest! And it’s in kind not cash value at the time of the collapse. I learned my lesson and will never state a single sat again! Most bankruptcies you get maybe 60% of what you had at the value at the time.

Howdy!
Struggling with a bit of back tightness the past couple days so yesterday was a grind but I got it done.
33 days of 100 push ups a day until $100k down. Undetermined to go. 29 days of 100 squats a day until $100k down. Undetermined to go.
Unfortunately due to the back tightness and a winter storm that rolled in I did lose my 10k steps a day streak after 479 days. Took a muscle relaxant and my back was feeling better in the late evening so I was going to push for the 10k steps but the weather was brutal so I knew it wasn't meant to be. Time to start a new streak.
reply
480 before 480k?
reply
Something like that. I didn't have any defined goal other than to try to get 10k steps a day but it became a self reinforcing thing once the streak got up there. Until yesterday I only had 2 close calls for the streak ending. I could have pushed for it but it was Snowmageddon out there.
Here is my deck this morning. It had no snow on it yesterday.
reply
We got hit with it the day before. It went from mid 70's to mid 30's in a couple of hours, then surprise snowfall overnight.
reply
Kind of similar. It didn't get that warm here but we had a couple nice days and then suddenly it was freezing and then snowmaggedon the next night. Won't be around for long. It is supposed to warm up over the weekend.

I was thinking to myself last night, how will I live my life differently when Bitcoin reaches $100k or more? as @orthwyrm is posting here daily haha, but the answer is probably not much... ( I think this can be a good examination to see what you are not satisfied about life atm, and then WORK on it. )
And it reminded me how I thought so differently when I was in the crypto land playing the NFT things, e.g. there was one project I bought that reached $8k during the peak, and I have 8 of them, so it was about $64k.... but guess what, I didn't capture the peak profit, and to make things worse, it led to some crazy spendings ( I guess that's why it's called easy come easy go ) and just the idea of making money so easy and quick can change how you see value creation - I didn't DO anything but just being early there, then you started to think how smart you are... and this is dangerous! and I can understand why so many people hanging into the crypto land, the delusion and the greed really suck you in.
But now that Bitcoin has reached $63k, I don't feel much excitement tbh, not like I'm going to sell it for fiat, so what difference did it make? 1BTC is still 100M sats, my stash is still the same, and I'm still learning about Bitcoin every evening, it's insane how much you can keep learning about it - these knowledge are worth way more than the fiat gains if you really care about freedom.
And actually finding out new tricks and hacks made me more excited and so thrilling living in the future before others! 👀
reply
Very little should change until $100M.
reply
how about you - how will you live life differently when Bitcoin reaches $100k or more? And what's stopping you from living like that NOW?

Third day on a dry fast: no food, no water. I'm not necessarily hungry, and it's interesting to observe the body coping without water for such a long time... I'll start feeding again tomorrow morning.

Bad ass!
I've been doing intermittent dry fasting for a while now. It is really interesting how our bodies can just hover in a slightly uncomfortable state for an extended period of time.

Day 73 of posting mining earnings from the day before: 618 sats on 28Feb2024! Running total: 52,388 sats!
Starting today, all my posts will tithe some zaps to other stackers.
I forget now, who forwarded some sats to me recently (sorry), but I really appreciated it in the moment. So, since I can't pay it back, I'll pay it forward.
I'm open to suggestions from experienced forwarders. How do you choose your targets?
reply
  • Founders of territories I frequent
  • Stackers whose comments inspire me to come up with a post
  • when I feel like honouring someone’s V4V with my content
reply
Those were literally the three things I had in mind.
You'll be on the short list, because you so often forward zaps to others.

Thanks! That is very generous of you!

Oh, I need some so I can make posts! Send sats! Deploy! 🙏

Well, that's not a very compelling case, but it's the only one so far. If nobody makes a stronger case than that, I'll hook you up on a post.

I love Mark's no BS delivery. I've been wanting to watch his talk about pysops for while but it's about 2 hours long! I've started watching it in small chunks. I love what he says at the beginning before he gets into it.. something on the lines of - if you don't like what I say then it doesn't make it any less true and don't cry about it - haha
reply
Go on I will drop it here for good measure. Perhaps I will post it in ~conspiracy too...
reply
This is not a conspiracy anymore... this is education material.
reply
I agree, I know what you mean but that is using the psyop meaning of the word "conspiracy" whereby "they" have changed the meaning of the word to be something that isn't true, which ironically their "new" meaning isn't true. I go by the true meaning of the word:
conspiracy noun An agreement to perform together an illegal, wrongful, or subversive act. A group of conspirators. An agreement between two or more persons to commit a crime or accomplish a legal purpose through illegal action.
which is exactly what those crooks are doing with most of their psyops

Today a Japanese professor visited my school, so I came to school, fancily dressed up in a suit and tie (despite the sweltering weather). I then presented the professor calligraphy written on a fan 🪭 by my father as well as notes in response to her email questions. My colleagues were duly impressed by my Proof of Work. I think we realistically get 2 months of summer where I am… cherry blossom is starting to come out though but still too early.
reply
Yes we do. Both stoves are loaded. My 20 something daughter is keeping the back door ring full for her old parents too. It's not easy trudging to the wood shed in deep snow or ice.
reply
Yeah. No more tumbles please… SN needs you!
Lots of talk here about restricting sales of ‘wet wood’ and prosecuting households who fuel their wood burners with pallets etc. The laws have been in place since 1956 (?) but only recently have needed reapplying in urban areas.

It still amazed me how a tiny amount of programmers can come up with something flight with all the banksters and the rooted system - does it mean the people are way more powerful than anything else once united? Hmm, that's why the rulers are trying to separate people...
reply
Agreed. They don’t need to ‘explicitly’ separate us. We do that ourselves being in their shitty system.
