News Of The WeekNews Of The Week
Welcome to this week’s issue of the Books And Articles newsletter. Thanks for all of the quality posts.
I was happy to see that we had a few book reviews this week, as well as some original poetry by @Nuttall. You can find the book reviews and one of the poems in the index. I have also created a Comics section which contains another of @Nuttall's posts.
As always, please reply with suggestions and opinions on how to make this territory better.
I hope everyone has a good week.

Siggy’s SuggestionsSiggy’s Suggestions
When covid began affecting my life in the spring of 2000, my outrage was focused on the lockdowns, the immediate ramifications for my business, and the general assumption that the Bill Of Rights didn’t apply anymore. When the vaccines came out, I knew I wasn’t getting jabbed, but, if I’m honest, that was primarily because the government wanted to force it on me. My usually latent anarchist tendencies were aroused.
My wife, on the other hand, had been hearing about Fauci since the AIDS crisis. Suffice it to say she wasn’t a fan. During the lockdowns we would take turns choosing which podcast to listen to. She wanted to hear about Fauci and the vaccines. I was interested in bitcoin and libertarianism. We influenced each other. Now she is a big RFK Jr supporter, while I don’t plan on voting for the first time in my adult life. We own this book, but I have not read it yet. Maybe this is the push I need.
Another great poetry post by Stackin. I really liked this one. It seems like it has been a while since we have had one of these posts. Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m always glad to see one.
This week’s Golden Oldie:
Who better to represent this week’s Golden Oldie than @Undisciplined, otherwise known as the Evergreen King? If you havent checked out his daily This Day In Stacker News, you should.
This post is about the economic masterpiece Human Action, by Ludwig Von Mises. If you are ambitious enough to read it, congratulations. It took me an embarrassingly long time to get through it. I promise it is worth it. In the mean time, click the link in the post and read the speech.

@StillStackinAfterAllTheseYears' post about Shakespeare has been one of my Aha moment read this week. His post correctly asked for the reasons why plays become better when watched.
Being a teacher of English literature, I've already assigned a paper to be written on the same topic. So, this post actually proved a help for me as well.
I've also gone through all other posts and they were also very interesting.
Thanks @siggy47 for the territory.
Thanks for reading, and maybe we will see a post from you in the near future?
Why not! I'm bit of lazy but I promise to write one.
Good!
As someone who might have gone down the lit teacher route in an alternate timeline, it really makes me happy to read this.
I'm feeling happy for I can say I finally found a community online that's full of intelligentsias.
Thank you! You are amazingly talented!
Amazing! Once again this week! This territory is my favourite.
Thanks. You have become a big part of the territory pretty quickly.
So sweet of you! Recently, I've not been contributing too much.
You have your hands full with Cricket
Yes, that's one of the reasons but I feel like I should and can contribute here as well. It's not very difficult for me. These days because of extremely hot and humid weather outside, I remain mostly at home and have no so much to look upon.
Good! So I'm looking forward to reading your posts.
Great and welcome summation as always. Couple of things I missed…
Thanks Siggy. You always do a great job of making your wife sound awesome.
I'll remind her of that the next time she complains that I leave my crap everywhere.
Good luck with that.
Wow, we were discussing this yesterday and today my name came in the top posts. Thanks you so much for selecting my post this week.
Remember, you earned it with zaprank. The stackers decide.
I will try to keep coming on top like this every week..
Good. We need more friendly competition
Thank you very much @siggy47 for selecting me this week! I did enjoy reviewing our trip to Rome and bringing back memories from it.
You earned it, for the second week in a row!
ty ty for sharing @siggy47 . Content overload, i've got a lot to review this summer now hah
Another week with great articles, once again I failed almost all of them. I'm going to read one now.
Keep up the good work! Have a great week.
Thanks very much.
I definitely want to get back to posting more poetry! Really enjoy sharing stuff I love.
