Day 8 of expressing myself until I posted the interview with @plebpoet
a collection of mundane memories
  • dreaming being a ghost floating up the stairs into our apartment and through a wall into my sleeping body; then waking up
  • first math lecture in university, shouting from the back row: "I study computer science!" because I heard my future best friend complaining that she hasn't met anyone who also studies it like her yet; her being absolutely excited to have finally found someone who does; us innocently exchanging numbers in the hallway
  • almost falling through the ice of the frozen campus swamp in winter with her; making a cheeky play on words of how I broke the ice between us; one of many to come
  • being the only one of her university friends who drove all the way to her birthday party in her home town during the first winter break
  • learning how to skate with her; how she was better with ollies while I was better at riding
  • her being vulnerable in front of me for the first time by sharing that her relationship is not going well and she doesn't know what to do; me casually replying with something that I don't even remember but apparently helped her a lot because she remembered and thanked me for it half a year later
  • talking to her about how we're never going to forget the day we almost walked past the uni shop, making this a day to remember; feeling so cool that we referenced Pirates of the Caribbean and A Day To Remember at the same time
  • learning how to climb with her and effectively trusting each other with our lives
  • how every other rope team was a couple
  • Offspring concert, dancing with her and singing along Self Esteem, screaming "I'm just a sucker with no self-esteem" over the music at her; secretly describing how I felt to only be her best friend but confidently jumped into the mosh pit alone immediately afterwards in the most poetic moment of my life (hopefully only so far)
  • accidentally saying out loud that she enriches my life in a conversation in a bar; how this made her eyes light up and make cute sounds
  • nights of getting drunk together, always trying to beat that one race near the end of Need for Speed on the hardest difficulty; always almost making out
  • how I waited for her bus to arrive and finally found the courage to tell her I can't go climbing in France with her in the summer as she was so excited to do; how I told her I can't because that's too much a thing for couples and we're not; how we looked at each other with broken hearts
  • swinging on a swing on campus (before they took it down); trying to talk to friends (including her) about bitcoin for the first time
  • how she told me she never wants to talk about bitcoin ever again
  • how I still gifted her a hardware wallet because I was dumb, didn't understand why she doesn't want to talk about bitcoin ever again and didn't take her last words about bitcoin serious
  • how furious and disappointed she was that I didn't respect her wish to never talk about bitcoin again
  • crying on the couch together with her, having acknowledged we're not good for each other; realizing we both planned to switch universities so we don't have to see each other every day
  • talking to @plebpoet for the first time as if she has always been my best friend
  • writing this?

Incredible India 🇮🇳 (Day 3)

Hampi, The Ruins of Monkey Kingdom

A legendary lost city that was once the powerhouse of an ancient kingdom and an auspicious temple town standing on the banks of the mighty Tungabhadra river, history and mythology come to life in Hampi, Karnataka. A queen's bath, a spectacular Lotus Palace, a royal stable or a temple, which is said to have been the place where the wedding of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati took place, this UNESCO World Heritage site reveals a facet of history at every turn.
Albeit in ruins, the magnificent structures here stand in testimony to Hampi's rich past under the powerful Vijayanagara empire (1336 – 1646 AD). Hampi finds mention in the Hindu epic Ramayana as well. It is said to be the location of the monkey kingdom, Kishkindha.
No wonder then that Hampi has ranked second in the must-visit destination list for the year 2019 by the New York Times! The grandiose site of Hampi was the last capital of the Vijayanagara kingdom, one of the most significant in southern India. Its rich kings built exquisite temples and palaces, which won the admiration of travellers between the 14th and 16th centuries.
Though plundered later, Hampi still retains more than 1,600 monuments, including palaces, forts, memorial structures, temples, shrines, pillared halls, baths and gateways. The architectural ruins are set against a surreal landscape dotted with heaps of giant boulders perched precariously over kilometres of undulating terrain, attracting rock-climbers, trekkers and other adventure sport enthusiasts. The rusty hues of these rocks are offset by jade-green palm groves, banana plantations and paddy fields. Today, this laid-back city is a tourists' hub, flocked by devotees, adventure-lovers and thrill-seekers.
If you're still not intrigued with the most mesmerizing lost city of our world, Hampi, here's the best video I found for you:

How to stay poor?
Staying poor often involves a combination of habits and mindsets that prevent financial improvement. Here are some ways people might unintentionally stay in a difficult financial situation:
  1. Living Beyond Your Means: Regularly spending more than you earn and accumulating debt.
  2. Avoiding Savings: Not putting any money into savings or investment accounts.
  3. Ignoring Financial Education: Not learning about budgeting, investing, or money management.
  4. Rejecting Career Growth: Not seeking better job opportunities or advancing your skills.
  5. Neglecting Budgeting: Failing to create or follow a budget.
  6. Making Poor Financial Decisions: Investing in high-risk ventures without proper research or guidance.
Focusing on improving financial literacy, budgeting, saving, and making informed decisions can help achieve financial stability and growth.
reply
43 sats \ 1 reply \ @mo 31 Jul
Why promote the how stay poor approach, when indeed we live in a world of abundance?

How to Be Wealthy (and Healthy):

  1. Live Within Your Means: take and use only what you need, no more, no less.
  2. Learn how to Save: putting a small percentage of any income you receive, regularly or irregularly, does it not matter.
  3. Embrace Financial Education: learn about budgeting, investing, or money management.
  4. Accept Life Growth: We have the tendency to separate work and like... seek any opportunity and learn new skills.
  5. Budget and Plan: envision your future and define the task you need to follow to achieve it. Small steps at a time.
  6. Making Quick Decisions: ins't always good to take last minute decisions, probably driven by emotions and unclarity. Read again step 5 and invest time in evaluating your steps ahead.
Live isn't just about money, you can (and you will) probably live without.

If Neil Armstrong was the first to set foot on the moon, who was holding the camera?
Why did we never go back to the moon?
reply
Who has ever said that the footage of Armstrong (if it is him) captures the very moment of his first step on the moon?
reply
You won't be convinced, but there were six crewed moon landings between July 1969 and December 1972.
Why didn't we go back? The Apollo program was cover (slight of hand) for many secret military experiments and developments of tech and weapon (mainly ballistic missiles and nukes). Did you know the USAF had their own astronaut crews that were not NASA. The basic answer, it was too expensive and the payoff under any political term is not worth it. Any administration funding space exploration must fund 5 and 10 year projects in a political system that lasts 4 or 8 years.
Also, review what happened to NASA's budget ( how it declined) but also look at what happened with the $USD during these same years.
reply
it was too expensive and the payoff under any political term is not worth it.
The truth is often to boring for people to accept. Thank you @TNStacker
I have never doubted any conspiracy theory because I think people are not capable of doing evil things and lying. The state is evil. No institution even comes close to its evil. But when you look at the Apollo program and study history it is obvious this was about the U.S.S.R.
The real takeaway though is it doesn't matter if it was fake or real. We KNOW the state lies like you and I breath. You can't trust liars. Only fools do that.
What do you do with this knowledge? Find more times they lied? Its fun. Like watching sports but don't fool yourself. It isn't fixing anything. Those that haven't taken the red pill will not believe you. You can't save them.

From the link I posted:
Armstrong’s descent was captured, not by a “cameraman” but by a camera placed in the Modularized Equipment Stowage Assembly (MESA), a compartment near the ladder, and deployed by Armstrong as he was standing on the Lunar Module’s porch. The original camera that was used was left on the moon.

Global Monetary System:
The entire global monetary is debt based, meaning it is a global Ponzi scheme, with a worldwide debt of somewhere between 1.5 to 2.7 quadrillion dollars, with a world GDP of only $80 Trillion, approx.
If we take a look at Exter’s Pyramid - Global Asset Classes, this one from 2017 and priced in trillions of US dollars, you will see how weak it really is.
Income tax is used to support this pyramid scheme, and with interest rates being so low it would not take much to topple it.
Without income tax this Ponzi scheme collapses; without the millions in taxes, supporting the billions in government bonds, then the trillions in derivatives have no support.
Note: it should be noted just how small gold is, as an asset, within this global system.
