In order to get real world benefits from virtual space (as an individual in social media markets), one must integrate an aspect of their personality completely into the virtual world. This personality must be, at some point, inflated/invented/exaggerated because of the fact that on its own, it won't be enough to compete. If you follow me this far - does this mean that every personality online that pursues personal gain is disingenuous, or let's say, fabricated? And does no one else see the danger in that?
reply

Mhh, not sure I agree. There are definitely people who are in a competition with others for the same attention since it drives their revenue, but is that every individual in a "social media market"? I think "real world benefits" do not have to come out of such competitive nature. I think you can get something out of social media without doing this.
However, I see how my argument depends on what is meant with "real world benefits" or "social media market". I considered anything positive (like laughing about a joke on a bad day) as a real world benefit and ignored "market". You probably had something stricter in mind.

People MUST make the difference between private and public life. Online "life" is a public life so act accordingly.

I think the easier / better way is to share part of yourself online, instead of inflated/invented/exaggerated your own personality.

@siggy47 soon you will have my guide about @Alby hub (as you asked), with all the pro / contra aspects, options and suggestions. It's a very interesting territory, as self-custodial node, that I had the opportunity to test it briefly. I want to test it more with various backends funding sources, but right now I am quite busy with my citadel building and cannot fully concentrate on testing more LN nodes.
Will come back with a nice guide.

The main thing that nostr has going for it are the dead simple DIDs. The other parts of nostr serve a purpose but most if not all of nostr's value emerges from the KISS DID. You can tell this is the case because if you take away the relays, websockets, event format, and replace them with something else, you can still make all the important claims about nostr and build all the same features that you made before. That is to say, the main problem nostr has "solved" is providing a usable decentralized identity. AFAICT everything else is WIP and claims that the other decentralized social media problems are already solved are wrong. Solutions to those problems can emerge given enough time, effort, and most important given what I see, humility, though.

github PR's are under-appreciated. Even a simple "feature proposal" or reporting a bug have such important aspect for an open source app. Normally userrs only want to complain, that x and y app it doesn't work as they want, but never fill a serious github issue or proposal to help the dev identify where is the problem of a way to improve the app.

Yesterday I lost my hat on Stacker.News
I don't know how it works but I guess it was because I had low activity on the platform. If that was the cause I don't feel bad for having lost it, I will work hard and make more POW to win it back.
Now I'll tell you why I don't feel bad for having lost the hat, if it was because I had no activity. I spent the whole day helping a friend learn how to create a Bitcoin-only wallet to have his SATs and so he could start walking and enter the Bitcoin burrow. I also helped him start trading, he was eager to be in the trade, this time trading on Spot.
Yesterday was a fruitful day for me, rewarding in a spiritual sense, I helped a person take the Orange Pill. That has been very important for me.
Thanks to Stacker.News for giving me the opportunity to share this experience with the community.

It will definitely be like this. This friend already has the link, I just hope he gets into the platform to help him like I have been helped. This is the beauty of the Bitcoin World. A united community that grows around an asset, unlike fiat money that creates division and war. I have to help him and everyone else who is coming in to use the platform correctly for Bitcoin education and adoption.

What if modern education is a form of destroying uniqueness and trying to make everyone think and know the same things, taking away from the knowledge passing down within the family in the name of improving literacy?
But what I don't really understand is why parents would send their kids into strangers' hands; I mean who would teach your kids better than yourself?
reply
reply
Because I don’t know everything. And I want my children to pick up diverse perspectives n skills from many people
reply
I largely agree with the sentiment, but if it were intentional then they'd be failing at it.
Our school system was created when people lived in much smaller communities, so you weren't sending your kids off to strangers. You knew the teachers, already, and they only had the job because they were trusted in the community.
That devolved gradually into what we have now, but the norms around going to school haven't caught up to the reality.

Not only do imaginary borders not really exist, but it's forcing people living within the border called X (e.g., Turkish, British, Singaporean, etc.) while many people have their own language, culture, and way of living; what's even worse is it separates families who live around the borders.
The world isn't made up of Nations but living creatures, running water, and mountains; However, even the maps are purposely made to emphasize nationalism, a classic divide and conquer.

Sovereign Citizen

The official narrative regarding the title “Sovereign Citizen” is as follows:
“A member of a political movement of people who oppose taxation, question the legitimacy of government, and believe that they are not subject to the law and do not respect the authority of the police.”
Although a true sovereign is capable of seeing through the official propaganda, the following issues with this statement are as follows:
  • Being sovereign is not political, but a status of life, which is that of having supreme authority and control over one’s life.
  • Sovereignty is not a belief system, but truth in fact.
  • The “law” that is referred to is nothing more than corporate policy without contract and therefore no obligation to comply.
  • The police are a private “For-Profit” Corporation in the business of selling debt to the general public in the guise of fines, based upon bogus and unfounded rules and regulations.
  • Citizen means “slave to the city” meaning that the title “Sovereign Citizen” is an oxymoron. You cannot be both sovereign and a slave.
The tactic is to create a baseless hypothesis and then apply a title to it, and then use said title to try and strawman the argument without attempting to even tackle it.
This is nothing new within the corrupt political game played by people who hide behind the legal fiction called government.

God is a mathematician of a very high order.
–Paul Dirac
I have heard it said that mathematics is the language of the universe, so if that is true, and if what it is that we call God is the Creator of the universe, then God would be the mathematician of the highest order!
reply
the classical quadrivium is the study of
  • numbers (mathematics)
  • numbers in space (geometry)
  • numbers in time (music)
  • numbers in space & time (astronomy).
the original architects made sure that the structures they build are harmonious with the universe, i.e. receive & transmit resonant harmonics of nature.
