Full credit to @Coinsreporter for trying to turn Stacker News into, well Stacker News.
I am really enjoying this SN bytes daily news series he is trialing.
reply
Thank you so much 🙏😊

Also, way to go coming in as the 2nd ranked stacker this week. You'll be taking down @siggy47 (presumably) for that top spot, soon.
reply
Presumably. Congrats!
reply
Take a look at this. Sorry @siggy47 🙏I think I've already went past a few times earlier this month.
reply
One day is impressive, indeed, but have you surpassed him for an entire week?
reply
No, nor I intend to. I mean he's the one from whom I've learnt a lot. I just just wanna keep learning and getting along with all of you guys. You all are much much better than I in terms of writing skills and knowledge.
reply
Yes, he is climbing up the ranks a bit too quickly. I think we need to start downzappng him Haha just kidding. Impressive proof of work all these posts, pools, referrals.
reply
Thank you so much for the appreciation🙏 But have a look at my today's post within the top posts of the day. I think I'm already regularly being downzapped!
reply
I think the top posts refresh only periodically so it might not be reflecting the true value score yet. @Undisciplined probably knows better, he actually reads the FAQs and tries to understand the methodology while I just do this:
BTW, I stirred the pot a bit this week regarding the rewards algo and people seem to be piling on. I don't think we should advocate for change of the algo unless there is something definitively better. We need to be careful what we wish for because the value mechanism while not perfect does a good job rooting out spam and sats farmers. We don't want a system where someone can post, create 10 alt accounts and zap that post to elevate it. I might make a post later in the week discussing this.
reply
I thought your ideas had merit. Just hard to go about it, even if it is a hard discussion to have.

Read the FAQ? I just assert what I think is happening and wait for @k00b to correct me.

a method of fractal meditation using bitcoin mining as the template:
  • start visualizing a miner that you know well, in as much detail as possible.
  • zoom in, visualizing the mining network from the level of the device, to the wiring & chips, to the particles inside the chip, and all the way to the subatomic particles. bring focus back to the miner.
  • zoom out, to the level of the house wiring, electrical grid with a few scattered hashers, collective of mining farms, and potentially the kardashev 1 scale. bring focus back to the miner.

Ecclesiastical Law:

Generally Ecclesiastical Law is the authoritative rules that govern the Christian Church, and covers internal policy and relations in secular power.
Note: The word secular means not connected with religious or spiritual matters, meaning that the secular power is referring to either the state or monarchy.
Although the history of the Christian Church is complexed, to better understand the legal system today, and to simplify the situation we should make the distinction between the “Free Christian Church” or “Protestant Church” and the “Church of Rome” or the “Roman Catholic Church”.
This distinction is due to the claim of the “Roman Catholic Church” to be the only Church, with their laws being of universal obligation.
With the creation of the Christian name, and adoption of the surname, legal fictions are created within ecclesiastical law, as all certificates of birth are controlled by the Vatican.
All deeds are controlled by the Vatican, through ecclesiastical law, and are in fact deeds of trust and not deeds of property.
For example: If you wished to change your name you would use the Ecclesiastical Deed Pole, however you are not changing your name, but the name of your legal fiction or corporation, which is controlled by the Vatican.
Basic Law of Human stupidity:
  1. Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation. - #678475
  2. The probability that a certain person be stupid is independent of any other characteristic of that person. - #679184
  3. A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or to a group of persons while himself deriving no gain and even possibly incurring losses. - #681686
  4. Non-stupid people always underestimate the damaging power of stupid individuals. ln particular non-stupid people constantly forget that at all times and places and under any circumstances to deal and/or associate with stupid people infallibly turns out to be a costly mistake. - #685370
  5. A stupid person is the most dangerous type of person. - #685370
