Cocktail of the day: Winter Daiquiri

I realized that I haven't even posted a recipe for a daiquiri yet, but since it's winter and this is not only a wonderful drink, but a drink that specifically calls for dark rum, I thought I had to put it on the list today to make @Msd0457890 happy
Ingredients: 1 oz Blended Jamican Rum 1 oz Black Jamaican Rum 3/4 oz fresh lime juice 3/4 oz demerara syrup 3-4 drops saline solution
Instructions: Shake with one large and two smaller ice cubes and strain into a chilled Nick & Nora class with a fine mash strainer. No garnish needed, but you can use a lime wedge.
Note:
The cat was mad when she realized that I wanted a picture of the drink, not of her. But damn, look at the color of this drink, brown gold!

I love it when you guys like the recipes and ask for specific spirits you like and want new drink ideas for!

Is it exclusive to Jamaican rum or can be made with other rum? I've not seen Jamaican rum in stores here.
reply
Sure, you can make it with any rum! The original recipe calls for Jamaican rum. I think that's because Jamaican rums are known for their strong molasses notes.
