Not really, in my opinion
Forums remind me when I used to look for interesting things for me like Pottermore. As for a personal blog morphing into a blog, it can happen, there's the possibility but I guess it really depends on whether you have your goals and focus really clear and established and actually sticking to them. But either way, I think if the blog or forum has some refreshing and/or interesting topics and points of view, I'm on board. The thing is you really have to weed out the meh's from the oooh I'm on board.
I feel like Iām shouting into void
Completely understandable sigh
But I guess spaces like this (stacker news) or just personal blogs (though mine is about art and religion, paganism and the occult) are really necessary even if everyoneās marching to the beat of their own drum. You run into interesting points of view and reminders of how vast the world is or just how simple things can be.
Jesus hahaha if you donāt like it. you donāt have to engage and even research its authenticity. This is what the internet has becoming policing your wordsā¦
By going with the books In the eye of the world the boys are around 19 and egwene around 17 šµš“
I just read both the prequel and the first one. So itās still fresh in my mind. I remember, in the prequel, Moiraine and Siaun are there for the foretelling 20 years prior the first book. The foretelling says the dragon reborn is now on earth or something and from then on both of them vow to find him. It is stated that mat Perrin and Rand are about the same age so they are 19 at most on the first book and by the second they are twenty 20. Not only are they ta veren and that the blood of manetheren is strong but also Moiraine knows the prophecy and so does Lan so they both know it has to be one of the three since they match the age according to it. They seem young to me but never as young as teenagers. Maybe Egwene but I donāt remember anything about her age. Both her and the wisdom are going to become novices despite their ages because they are that strong. Despite Nynaeve being older than usual and egwene being so young. I just read it in the great hunt one of the aes sedai makes a comment on both their ages. They are different and strong. Oh my hahaha what a debate on their age. šµ
In the book Moiraine specifically tells to Rand that she was right there for the foretelling 20 years ago. That the dragon was born just now and then that poor aes Sedai⦠kapoot. But the wisdom is a bit older but not so much according to her just enough so she could be able to take care of them a couple of times when they were all kids.
I think they were already 20 years old. Because Moiraine mentions having heard the prophecy 20 years ago. I think they are just more wholesome cause they were nice kids and just kept in line by the village itself and the Wisdom :P
I can see how that can be a problem on the long run. I do noticed the glossary was extent but not that much. But I didnāt mind since the book is still fresh but over time, that wonāt be pretty I guess. Oh well, Jordan couldnāt be perfect š„¹
Oh myyyyyyyyyy! Iām devouring the great hunt. So Iām almost right there with you :P Iām glad to know he really unveils the mysteries he sets up⦠eventually. Even if it takes books to know. And well as long as the plot continues to uncover I can deal with the not so hyper detailed descriptions.
