Making peer selection economic is smart. But couldnāt that backfire? Like nodes dropping peers that don't filter out low fee spam?
Maybe āprofitabilityā could go beyond just fees consider tx quality, resource costs, network health, stuff like that. Also what about spammy relays that rebroadcast everything? Doesnāt that throw off reconciliation? The whole mempool thing is turning into a mess.
Nice work on the WebRTC + Nostr combo. Cutting out middleman signaling servers is smart. How does it handle relay outages or flaky connections? Any backup or fallback plans? Once this sees more real usage, whatās the plan for anti-cheat ? Especially for leaderboards or any persistent data tied to pubkeys.
Demo runs smooth. Iāll jump into Sea of Nostriches soon. Really refreshing to see something real shipped instead of hype.
Been there. Worked at a place where no emoji click after support chat = automatically satisfied customer. CSAT scores looked amazing while actual service was trash.
Productivity metrics are the same scam. Track tickets closed, people game it with easy wins. Track mouse movement, people buy jigglers. Track keystrokes, people find workarounds. Management celebrates efficiency while real work suffers. The disconnect between what gets measured and what actually matters is real. The people doing the actual job usually know when the numbers are bullshit. Anecdotes will capture what sanitized metrics miss.
AI should be making everyone's life easier, not just making things harder for people who are already struggling. But instead, it's just gonna make wealth concentration worse. The same people who own everything now will own the robots too. They only pay workers because they need the labor but what happens when they don't? If nobody has jobs, who's gonna buy all the stuff these AI systems pump out? We have all this incredible technology that could actually help regular people, but it's just another tool to squeeze workers and concentrate wealth. It's such a basic economic contradiction but they can't see past next quarter's profits. This is exactly why we need systems that can't be controlled by a handful of people at the top.
Weāre way past āpreventive scienceā here. This is poking the bear just to see what happens. At what point does this become a threat, not research?
Miners have been stuck with 2012 protocols while their hardware evolved. SV2 finally fixes this. About time.
People assuming they know what Iām thinking or feeling when Iām just trying to express my thoughts. You got NO idea!
Kids always surprise us with what they pick up early. Heās already thinking out of the box please keep that curiosity alive! š
Theyāre just locked in right now. Feels like one of those runs where everything clicks at the right time.
1 million is just a number, but getting here feels like signal. SNās still small enough to care and weird enough to matter.š§”
Tbh I care more about the quality of their code than their GitHub streak.
Plenty of legendary devs ghost mainstream platforms. Silent Payments isnāt exactly beginner level stuff, but if Ronās shipping real work, Iām glad Maelstrom is funding it.
In Korea you're already 1 when you're born. People ask your birth year to know whether you're older or younger so they know to talk casually or formally. Respect for elders is deeply rooted in the culture. š
So if weāre inside a black hole⦠and black holes exist in a universeā¦does that mean weāre in someone elseās universe? Could this prove the multiverse theory ???šš
