I used to think boundaries were like walls but turns out they’re more like filters. if you don’t set them, the good gets drowned out by the needy. been there, gave too much got nothing back but burnout and people who stuck around for the handouts, not the hang. The hardest part is realizing you built the system that’s draining you.
Not sure why people are shocked, this is what happens when you centralize compute, lock the data, and hand the keys to a guy who built a global eyeball scanner. openai was never open and agi was never the goal.
Regulating AI won’t matter if we’ve already handed over our brains to it. China builds AI to lock people down, we’re building it to make people obsolete both are bad. No amount of laws gonna fix that.
Why is nobody talking about what happens when stablecoins become the default rails outside SWIFT? Then the whole US banking system will get sidelined, and Treasury backed money will move globally without needing anyone’s permission. This is way bigger than just Fed vs Treasury
AI’s helpful right up until it starts telling you what good code is cuz at that point it is enforcing taste I'm not sure how that’s progress.
Even if an alien nuclear war happened, catching that tiny flare from so far away seems nearly impossible. Plus stars are always flaring randomly, so we’d probably just write it off as noise. It could be happening right now but the signs will stay hidden. Makes me wonder how much we’re missing out there.
The dude must’ve had so much trust in that robot to let it swap his heart through his belly! If this works surgery could get way easier and less scary. Hope it all goes well
I’ve read that the trippy effects during long fasts might come from high ketones, dopamine shifts, and way less sensory input. Low glucose kinda forces the brain into this weird focused mode like mild sensory deprivation but internal, tapping into some underused brain state that kicks in when the body goes deep into survival mode.
