Tin foil around the router solves this
You have no legal claim to securities in bankruptcy. There is already legal precedent established.
The Great Taking -David Rogers Webb
"The new safe harbor regime was cemented into case law with the court
proceedings around the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers. In the lead-up
to the failure, JP Morgan (JPM) had taken client assets as a secured
creditor while being the custodian for these client assets! Under longstanding bankruptcy law this would clearly have been a constructively
fraudulent preference transfer benefitting an insider. And so, JPM was
sued by clients whose assets were taken.
I will cite the following memorandum filed in defense of JPM by the law
firm Wachtel, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, with the U.S. Bankruptcy court of
the Southern District of New York [22]:
The purpose of the safe harbors, from their inception, has been
to promote stability in large and inherently unstable financial
markets by protecting transactions in those markets from being
disturbed during a bankruptcy. As explained in the legislative
history of the original safe harbor, “the financial stability of the
clearing houses, with often millions of dollars at their disposal,
would be severely threatened by” exposure to avoidance claims; as
well, actions to avoid margin payments made by clearing houses
could set off a “chain reaction” of insolvencies among all other
market participants, “threatening the entire industry.”
Now here is the decision of the court [23] :
UNITED STATES BANKRUPTCY COURT SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF
NEW YORK In re: Chapter 11 Case No. 08-13555
The Court agrees with JPMC that the safe harbors apply here,...
Exactly it is completely narrative politics. “The data” lol!
What, did the native aboriginal people in Australia record all the underwater reef temperatures correctly and carve them into stone for us to find thousands of years later? Or did we use the tree rings and ice patterns to figure out the temperature millions of years ago??? Lmao
So- it becomes a political and psychological battle.
Co2 is plant food.
More Co2 = more plants.
Arguing about “data” is not going to achieve anything.
You realize the best thing to do if you believe in the anti-Co2 climate cult is to kill yourself right?
You are breathing out Co2 right now. So if you think that’s bad the best thing you can do is stop breathing. :)
TLDR:
"Bitcoiners who get their news from traditional sources like national and local broadcast
television were much more likely to vote for Harris (51-43). For those who get their news
from social media, Trump did much stronger (66-27)."
It’s not about the cooling of the machines- Miners have wholesale per hour pricing for electricity, and heat wave means higher A/C use, so miners get much higher prices and they power machines off to remain economical.
At the same time this process reinforces the energy grid, by selling extra electricity to Bitcoin miners- more power generation can come online, and during peak demand hours (hot days using A/C) the miners power off and the people enjoy a huge buffer for energy demand.
Bitcoin is pretty great for humanity.
What is this communist crap? The problem is the government commits violence on productive working people by forcing them to pay involuntary "charity" through taxes in the form of "unemployment benefits" and food stamps that subsidize the lazy free loaders. The solution to socialist problems is less socialism. End of Story.
If the money is locked up in stocks buy fbtc or Mstr. If it’s not, buy Bitcoin.
The gaming industry needs a big reset
And when you received this reaction it should have been shelved. VCs won't stop using witness data for their scam chains, they can't risk being ignored. And spammers won't stop either, they want their "art" to be in blockchain forever, not pruned.
You say "we can't stop spam" well, you can't force them to use op_return, and you can't force me to run your updates.
Ten31 did the same thing with Grid mining. Then you realize why Matt and Marty are so committed to building trust with plebs using podcasts and appearing to be great philanthropists "helping" fund busybody developers with OpenSats.
interesting, what makes you think that adding more room for spam in op_return will stop them from using the cheaper witness data?
btw, the "bloat" is currently 11gb. so not a big deal in my opinion as people start to switch from 1tb harddrive to 2tb for storage.
Funny that "PR" also refers to "public relations". Since it appears the technical team incompetently solicited feedback from people at my level, the only healthy response to be expected is NACK and the solution should be rewritten at a later date.
You are also setting a cultural policy of encouraging this behavior.
Even if technically beneficial I continue to oppose it on cultural and political grounds. At this time, going forward with this MERGE means bitcoin-core endorsement of the forthcoming "built on bitcoin" shitcoins
