Stacker News Fiction MonthStacker News Fiction Month
We are more than halfway through Stacker News fiction month. This was the official announcement. @Scoresby is the brains behind this idea, which is being jointly sponsored by him along with @TotallyHumanWriter and this territory. As I’m sure many of you know, @TotallyHumanWriter is the editor of the 21 Futures fiction anthology.
The response has already been overwhelming. There’s still time to polish up that story and try to shove some extra sats into that attached wallet.
That’s not all of the news around here. @kr has returned with the top post. Old SN’ers will remember the days of @kr’s weekend suggested reading posts. That was way before territories even existed. It’s good to have him back.
Reminder: For the time being I will zap the top post half the rewards I receive before the next week’s issue, rather than split zaps into cowboy credits.

I suggest you read all of this week’s fiction, since August is fiction month around here.
In the midst of this fiction month it is easy for important posts to receive little attention. Everyone with an interest in stoicism should check out @Kontext’s journal, which is available for purchase. I might just pick up a copy myself.
This little gem really caught my interest. I read “The Sheltering Sky” years ago, and this post might inspire me to do so again. “Tracks” sounds like a memoir I will really enjoy, so that’s definitely going on my list too.
