@k00b @ek I think I might have found something odd.

When sorting posts on the homepage by "random" the zap animation doesn't show, the little bolt next to the title remains grey. I can watch my sats go down, but the post sats don't seem to go up. Only noticed it when sorting by "Random" top, recent, hot all seems to work as expected.

Considering moving in with the In Laws again.

They're pretty much welcoming us with open arms. But her parents are controlling and I'm not sure if I would like it there. Might be good for my wife to be around family during her first pregnancy though, and the neighborhood is safer, and since I'm working 2 jobs now she might be less lonely if we were there.

I'm thinking, is it only strange ideological notions that are holding me back from stacking more sats and ensuring my wife is more comfortable and attended to during the pregnancy?

American hodl got made fun of for selling his car and riding a moped instead of selling his 10 bitcoin. I've felt looked down on, and down in the dumps for a decent part of my bitcoin journey, why don't I just crank that notch up a few more degrees in order to stack more sats? Why not endure a bit more doubt and shame and guilt. Am I not bullish enough, anon?

When you scroll over the sats on Siggy's post #836419 it says zero sats and I see (200 CC's) from me but I didn't have 200 CC's in my SN wallet and I checked my attached wallet and it showed the sats being zapped.

Is it because it has a forward?

Yes, I forgot to mention this. Forward posts can only receive CCs currently, because we can't do a 3-or-more non-custodial split on lightning.

For non-custodial zaps, it's a two-way split to SN and the OP which is already fairly "cutting-edge" for lack of a better term.

I think we will eventually make these work with real sats, but in the background we'll need to do an independent zap for each forward and one for the OP.

Ohh, right. Forwards always use CCs because we cannot split payments to multiple receivers on the lightning network. This makes us very sad but it's a limitation of the lightning network. Maybe this will change but I am not aware of any ideas how to fix this that don't require some intermediate custody of funds.

The only way to do this with the tech as it is, is to do an independent zap per forward in the background ... basically it'd require its own paid action and its own special retry logic.

A question regarding zapping sats and receiving CCs This is the case: I have connected both receiving and sending wallets. I also have CCs on my balance. Let’s say I have 20 sats on my external wallet and 20 CCs on the internal wallet. And I want to zap a post 20 sats, but the other stacker hasn’t connected a receiving wallet and he will receive 20 CCs. In this case, after zapping I will have 20 sats and 0 CCs or 0 sats and 20 CCs? They don’t matter to me. After the last year March Madness, or how it was called, I realized they are not worth the effort at all. I prefer to spend my time with kids and family, by doing my stuff, reading a book, whatever, rather than chasing rewards, cowboys hats and what not.

Anyways, one can still have ~1000 sats for one dollar these days.

They plan carefully, deciding which account should win without drawing attention.

I love memes, but I like to see creativity and some proof of work. Even e slight change in the original meme, when is posted in a certain context it can be explosive and is a nice feeling to give some sats for it as a V4V.

I post memes in the monday meme contest, but I always try to make my own memes, most of the time "darth theme" and with a specific message. Yes sometimes I post old memes but even then, I try to modify them a bit, sending my own message. If I post a stolen meme, at least I add the credits.
