Does someone know a website/tool to deanonymize Bitcoin transactions?
I know that the act of looking it up with my ip adress already changes the anonymity. I'd use Tor and look up a few dozen unrelated utxos as well

Did you know that it takes 2720 litres of water to make a cotton T-shirt? That’s how much water we drink in a three-year period!
reply
I don't think it will be a problem if it is consumed only as much as necessary. The main problem, in my opinion, is overconsumption. T-shirts are the best example of this overconsumption.

You find the Waldo that spends all day on Twitter oscillating between dunks, wishful reminders that they're a virtuous handsome well humored genius, outright telling people they're a virtuous handsome well humored genius, and their shrinking, banal honest thoughts they wish could compete with the engagement of their persona.

Accusing good people of evil is a magic spell for bringing out the evil in them. Most of the extrinsic incentive for doing good is having people recognize it. When you accuse good people of evil (simply because it feels good to think you know something hidden) you're reducing the amount of good in the world. And all because you're an idiot.

I need that recipe! Before I added crushed onion to the shampoo (a small portion) it doesn't leave a bad smell in your hair or anything like that, the hair grows stronger and silkier. For my nails, I put garlic in the nail paints, they grow quite strong... before I forget, avocado has also been recommended to me for my hair.

Fun time of year to have that conversation too. Never really considered that egg arbitrage was a thing in historic times…
In pre-refrigeration days, it would be difficult to preserve milk and meat products until Easter, but the same was not true of eggs. Eggs, which unlike other foods do not perish quickly, were therefore a natural way to break the fast of Lent on Easter Sunday. Presenting gifts of eggs at Easter has a long and culturally diverse lineage. Practicality was one factor: Given that hens would be laying eggs throughout Lent, a surplus would exist by Easter, at lower prices.
Perfect time of year to treat those locks too!

Indeed it is. Some just hate money I guess. Or they hate work. Writing and thinking are work, but I find it very rewarding. In fact, I'm wired in a way that I find it hard to stop thinking. Writing is probably the best way for me to clear my head. Then I get great responses on SN and new ideas and want to write more to clarify my thinking more... it never ends.

Day 65 of 100 push ups till $100k completed.
It's strange a couple of my wall of text comments from almost a year ago are still getting zaps these days occasionally. Do you guys get that a lot?
reply
SN algorithm encourages zapping through old posts πŸ˜‚
reply
Does it?
I get these occasionally. People can happen across these old posts by exploring SN in a few different ways: sorting by forever zaprank, scrolling through profile pages, and clicking on the similar posts.
I'd love for the rewards algorithm to start incentivizing rediscovering older content.
reply
60 sats \ 1 reply \ @gnilma 2 Apr
Probably newcomers scrolling through old posts.
I'd love for the rewards algorithm to start incentivizing rediscovering older content.
If they reward old content zapping, it will probably turn out to be too easy to game. If they ever roll something out like that, it needs to be really well thought out so its harder to game the rewards.
reply
I agree, but it's a shame so much great content is just languishing.

reply
Morning folks.
Feature proposal for @k00b and @ek: would it be possible to have an option to view / copy the markdown of posts / comments, vs their rendered states?
The use case is that I sometimes draft things offline, do the final touch-up in the SN msg editor, then post it and forget to copy the changed text. If I want to get it later, all I can get is the rendered version, which is less easily selectable, and which obfuscates the links, headlines, etc.
Since this info is already saved, seems like having an option to expose it would be trivial.
reply
If I want to get it later, all I can get is the rendered version,
You can append /edit to the URL to get the raw version. Example for your comment: #490840/edit
Since this info is already saved, seems like having an option to expose it would be trivial.
Definitely! There just isn't dedicated UX/UI around this yet. It's currently another one of those secret SN hacks.
