Hey @mega_dreamer, there's something off in the NBA market. The orderbook for Memphis Grizzles says that I have 10k yes share on them but when I try to sell them they don't reflect. They aren't also there under the share holder.

Is this also a secret stress test for SN? I know there's no concern about pages loading with too many nests (since nested comments get thrown to another page), but wasn't sure if there was a thread limit of any sort, or how SN's backend database just handles a post with a ton of comments.

I was thinking the script would just fetch all comments on the post and reduce to calculate the leaderboard, instead of having to specify a nym manually

I wanted to do that, but I realized the API makes this hard because of all the nested replies. I would have to assume some upper limit of how deeply nested replies are and then it might ~~kill the server~~ unnecessarily increase server load if everybody runs that script all the time.

So I decided to just use this simple SQL query for the leaderboard:

SELECT users.name, count("Item".id) AS nreplies
FROM "Item"
JOIN users ON users.id = "Item"."userId"
WHERE "rootId" = 948515 AND freebie = 'f'
GROUP BY users.name
ORDER BY nreplies DESC;

and give everyone a way to verify their own number by fetching all their own comments from last week (the items you can see in someone's profile) and then only counting the replies to this post.

We need 1800ish comments per day to reach 1.4M by 31 Dec 2025.

It's not looking achievable even with this because we've been constantly falling short of daily target by 800 to 1000 items.

Undoubtedly this competition will increase the daily comments counts but I'm not so sure that it'll help break even 1800 items/day.

We need more people and more stackers and more engaging content to see it happen.
