This week we head to Lindeman Lake Trail located in Chilliwack, BC. The trailhead is close to Chilliwack Lake, specifically located next to Chilliwack Lake Road a few minutes before reaching Chilliwack Lake. Lindemand Lake Trail is a moderate to easy out-and-back trail that is about 3.4km long with about 220m elevation gain. Although the elevation gain is not a lot, but the gain is through a short distance, which means the trail is quite steep. On top of being steep, a large section of the trail involves traversing large rocks that make it challenging especially for young children with shorter legs.
The trail continues towards Greendrop Lake after it reaches Lindeman Lake, and hikers can continue on for a longer and more challenging hike. We went on this hike back in 2020 when my kids were 7 and 8, so we decided to hike only to Lindeman Lake. The lake is not particularly big, but the water was clear, cool and refreshing on a hot summer day. We rested and had lunch at the lake before heading back down on the same trail.
Tall trees and mountain in the far background seen at the parking lot.
Usual bear in area sign. It was 2020, so we also get the social distancing sign.
Lots of rocks along the trail making it more difficult for younger children with shorter legs.
Stream flowing next to the trail.
Metal bridge crossing the stream.
More uphill and large rocks.
Reached the lake.
Closer view of the lake.
View of the lake from another point of view.
Very clear waters.
