Beans and melons are both good, right?

Beans and melons are both good, right?
I believe so, at least I think they are both desirable and staple foods. It is, like you said, another way of saying you reap what you sow.

I tried to watch a mukbang video for the first time to understand the appeal.
61 million views of someone noisily chewing messy food. Could not do more than 30 seconds.
At first I could empathize with the appeal of ASMR for someone who is just not really sensory present...but like. I bailed as soon as the video maker started chewing.

My philosophy is: What people say about me is none of my business. I am who I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. And that makes life easier. We live in a world where funerals are more important than the deceased, marriage is more important than love, and looks are more important than the soul. We live in a packaging culture that despises content.

2024: LETS BUY BACK OUR STOCK!!! Raise the stock price at all costs. Billions of of debt on our balance sheet who cares! Pump that price! Make sure those executives get their bonuses as well. Oh and donโ€™t forget we have to cut cost by 3% so let announce layoffs of about 2000 people!

I take my daughter to school and I see people in a hurry, running like they can't wait for tomorrow, with unfinished breakfasts, putting on makeup in the car, and then returning home after a 10-hour day. I just wonder, how much life is your job costing you? Reporting from a gray city

The same thing happened to me at the time... I have been 7 years since I emigrated here to Lima, Peru and here the pace of life is very very fast... people run to get to work and children run to get there. to school... when I arrived I tried to adapt to that rhythm since I did not have documentation... but after I got my documents I got a couple of formal jobs where you have health insurance and things like that... and I understood that that was not the option for me... they pay you very little for many hours of work... I left home at 5am and returned at 9 or 10pm... from Monday to Saturday and on Sundays I went out to sell sweets since we couldn't afford it because my wife I couldn't work because I was taking care of our little one... I have currently been selling all kinds of items for cell phones for more than 3 years... and it allows me to share with my family. I have no boss and I manage my time comfortably... Peru has become in a country with a lot of labor informality... everyone sells things or works for themselves... because that way it makes money and allows you to save...

Before I felt like I was walking aimlessly, I wasn't paying attention to the things I wanted to do, I was simply following the path that was supposed to be the "correct" one. But now, it's different. If I want to learn to skate, I do it, if I want to learn something new, I do it; There is no age limit, if not today, then when? Going back to traditions
Thinking of buying a sewing machine to play around a bit ( anyone got good recommendations? ) - I have been making clothes with tailors for more than one year now, and it feels like limiting my creativity if I keep needing someone in between to make things happen...
I assumed this is partly affected by seeing so many masters making beautiful things with their own bare hands, like what can I make on my own? ๐Ÿคฏ and it's just different feelings making physical things.
reply
I learnt to use a heavy duty one when I was โ€˜unexpectedly detainedโ€™ ...
Lightweight Singer machine; range of stitch options and variable speed via foot pedal is all you need. Hand cranks are fine but are an extra hassle and you may struggle with tensioning stitches. Check out thrift and charity shops if you do want an old school one though.
reply
I'm thinking to get the traditional, it seems not too heavy and has the basics I need.
and wow @carlosfandango many talents ๐Ÿ‘€
reply
Sound choice and they are quite portable and they have very little to go wrong. For small artisanal work or repair jobs they are great. Something like a Singer 128 (or the full size 127) would be perfect for you. 99s are cheaper but they have less functionality being much older.
However, if something does go wrong with it; sewing machine repair shops are like bicycle repair or Mercedes-Benz dealershipsโ€ฆ. every country has one.
reply
yes I found a lot of repair shops here, not too worrying.
I really admire how some Turkish ladies can make so many things, from cooking, cleaning, knitting to sewing, but it is NEVER too late to learn! especially if I would be someone's mum one day, better to pick up these skills slowly I think. ๐Ÿค”
reply
And ask in the repair shops.. gets a guarantee that way :D
reply
You need some foundations; patience, inquisitive nature and desire to learn. I thank my mother for that. Hand eye coordination helps from doing similar things. But Iโ€™m an old guy still learning skills and languagesโ€ฆ. so never too old to learn.
reply
I have no other desire than learning and creating. ๐Ÿ‘€
I hope I live long enough to make some really cool things:)
reply
I've a an old hand run sewing machine of my mom. My mom still use it sometimes and I very much feel that the previous generations were more sovereign than ours.
reply
agree, much skilled and willing to do the work!
reply
Well, I don't have any sewing machine recommendations, but I'm pretty sure making our own clothes is a clear sign of sovereignty nonetheless. ;)
reply
happy to document my journey - I already did the work on finding beautiful hand-woven fabric ( yes, they still exist! ) and learned the basics of natural dyes ( all you need is a kitchen, some roots, and the patience to test ).
so logically, getting a sewing machine is like the next step to explore ๐Ÿ‘€ and I hand sewed a underwear just to see how much I'm really into doing it, and wow really fun! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Court as a Trust

The court is being set up as a trust, so these questions can be asked regarding the construction of a trust that resembles your full name:
โ€œI must confirm the following regarding this name:
Is there an illegal trust before this court that was set up using a nom de guerre, which resembles this name?โ€
If the clerk answers โ€œnoโ€, give them forewarning that they will be personally liable if this is to be found untrue.
If the clerk answers โ€œyesโ€, which is unlikely, respond as follows:
โ€œI require the bond to be brought forward. Is there a reference number or bond number attached to your paperwork?โ€
โ€œI do not consent to being surety for this case and these proceedings.โ€
โ€œI demand the bond be immediately brought forward so I can see who will indemnify me if I am damaged.โ€
reply
And when you show to the clerk that YOU are the real owner of that trust, presenting the UCC-1 trust papers, you will see how they will close the case without any charges (except real crimes).
The Problem - Who Owns Your Name
Imagine waking up one day only to realize that everything you worked all your life for was not owned by you. Furthermore, you find out unbeknown to you that everything you did was done under the name of a corporation. You investigate a little further and you find out that this corporation has tied you into multiple contractual obligations - and here you are paying in the corporation's name for this and this and this ... adnaseum, effectively bleeding away everything you make. Does this sound like a nightmare or does this sound like real life? Well that sound you hear is your wake up call.

When asked the Russian writer Anton Chekhov about the nature of failed societies, he replied:
In failed societies, there are a thousand fools for each successful mind and a thousand clumsy words for each conscious word. The majority is always stupid and constantly dominate the rational. If you see trivial topics at the forefront of discussions in a society and trivial people take centre stage, then you are talking about a very failed society. For example, millions of people dance and repeat meaningless songs and words, and the person who wrote the song becomes famous, known and loved. Even people have their own opinion on matters of society and life. As for writers and authors, no one knows them and no one gives them value or weight. Most people like pettiness and numbness. Someone who drugs us to make us lose our mind, and someone who makes us laugh with nonsense, is better than someone who wakes us up to reality and hurts us by telling the truth. Therefore democracy is not suitable for ignorant societies, because the ignorant majority will decide their fate. Global Sociology
