Hello, I haven't written for a few days, I don't want any attention or sato for the above, because for me this channel is more of a place where I write something like my diary that everyone can read. In recent days, my mental health has been worse, so much so that I didn't want to have contact with anyone, so much so that I told the only friend I've known for 4 years via the Discord platform that I don't want to keep in touch with him at all. In general, I am not a very talkative person, which I haven't said before, so much so that I talk to about 10 people during the day, either via the Internet or normally with my family or, shall I say, with friends? Anyway, never mind, I've also had some stupid ideas lately, including one of them being the desire to have a head-on collision with a car, I won't say more because I think it's too drastic. The last few days have been a little better and I went back to this friend to tell him what and how, but I see and have the impression that after this situation he is very distant from me.
reply
Sometimes people drift away from us when we are at our lowest because they feel like they don't know what to say, or how to say it. Sometimes revealing our dark sides ignites theirs; and most don't want to face their dark sides. Anyway, I know you didn't ask for any, but my suggestions would be: go out, get some sun, touch some grass. Work out and/or engage in any creative endeavour you prefer. Realize that you're not the only one going through similar things - and in that vain, be kind to people. Smile to people, even if it's a forced smile - more often than not, they'll smile back. And most likely, that smile will result in you smiling for real :) Last but not least; "this too shall pass," whatever it is. 🧡
reply
thank you, so you are saying that after some time everything will return to normal when it comes to your relationship with this friend, but it takes time, as I understand it? I know it will be hard for me with all these exercises, sun, etc. but thanks for the advice anyway, maybe I will be able to use it
reply
No, not necessarily. It might, and if that person really cares about you, it will, but sometimes people drift away from us and we have to be OK with letting them go. Just, if they need space, give them space. What I primarily meant is that the feelings / the darkness you might be experiencing, will pass. They say it's the darkest before dawn... and if you've really seen, felt, experienced the darkness, the contrast of the light will be even more apparent & even more beautiful. This is why Jordan Peterson said: “If you gaze into the abyss long enough, you see the light, not the darkness.” You know, I compiled some ideas into a couple of posts not too long ago, maybe they could be useful to you: ON SUFFERING: #521959 ON ENLIGHTENMENT: #548857 Take care! :)

When in Japan, eat hotate (scallops). They are caught widely from north of Tohoku to the Okhotsk Sea. They are also farmed around Mutsu Bay of Aomori and all over Hokkaido. In particular, around the Okhotsk Sea, young scallops are released into the sea and grown on the seabed for four or five years. Large-scaled wild scallops are produced using this method.
Scallops contain an abundance of taurine, which leads to the prevention of heart disease and hardening of the arteries. They also come with zinc, which increases metabolism.
You could relish scallops with butter soy sauce or with Chinese white cabbage (chingensai).

Sunday reflection:
The fact that today's man - especially the European and American - has lost any kind of critical filter for what he is told and served - and for this it is enough to watch Eurovision - shows that he is in deep crisis. This crisis is not moral, it is anthropological. It is the crisis of man. Man is in crisis and does not know what to do. We're already facing the consequences, but the crisis will be deeper if humans don’t t find solutions soon…

Plebeian

Plebeians, or lower class “commoners”, are controlled by Roman Common Law to become the debtors. Patricians were the upper class who benefited from the credit of the people by making them both the creditors and the debtors.
Note: the origin of the name “court” is a place to trade debt and bonds; this has been going on for over 2000 years, and has not changed to this day.

Maybe it's not about going or searching the places that is more popular with Bitcoin if you are willing to do the work yourself.
So far, I've paid Airbnb hosts/rent, devs who I work with, some of the restaurants I go to all the time, VPN, Mail, Domain, and basically most of my web setup switched to paid in sats. Told my dentist to accept Bitcoin too, but my treatment just finished, woohooo 🤓 ( anyone would like to know more about my adventure getting orthodontic treatments in Istanbul during the pandemic time? )

That's because UD has so much cool stuff to say! I always enjoy their stuff, and GR although I wish I was able to spend more time in their respective territories and engage more with their stuff. Congrats! We'll have to think up a way for you to delegate some of that, so we can run into you in the other territories.
I don't have any territories, btw, that would be a bit too disciplined for my taste.

Everyone just wants to say things that they think the algo will like.

reply

reply
You will always do better here being yourself than being the algo’s bitch…
reply
the algo is rigged anyways. And yes, the algo is a bitch. People will remember my words about SN:
  • do not post just to earn some sats
  • post something that you want others to read and make your voice heard
  • SN is CHARGING sats to post/comment not "reward for posting"
  • you get sats BECAUSE other people WANT to give you sats for your content
  • zap wisely
reply
The man himself, thanks for the advice.
reply
I dunno about that 😂😂😉 I've done better dropping salute emojis on people's content that I like than I have put of content I put out 😂
But I agree in principle, be authentic and people tend to prefer that, the algorithm will catch up eventually, you just gotta keep at it.
reply
Salute emojis pay for the territory… lol
reply
Really? I like posts and comments from a few people I know here. You might not be hitting the right articles.....or getting involved in the right comments.
reply
No, I just see the same people getting stroked every day.
It’s simple. People think zapping specific content gets them more sats.
So conversation is stale and stagnant.
reply
That does happen sadly…
reply
Are you talking about me? I consistently get stroked on here :P
reply
I ain’t stroking it… put it away..
reply
No. Sorry if I came at you.
I get passionate. I am a dick.
This place could be great. It’s going to lose to a fatal design flaw.
reply
I don't totally disagree with this. I think the algo needs adjustment. I was on the site in the middle of the night (eastern time) commenting and zapping people. The new leaderboard rolled out and I started in 3rd and then suddenly I was 4th and the person ahead of me had 2 comments with no replies or zaps and 124 sats zapped. How did they pass me when I had zapped thousands of sats and was carrying on a conversation with 3 or 4 people and zapping back and forth. They just happened to zap the right post or comments from top value stackers.
I am not complaining I get a lot of sats rewards but something is broken with the algo when I routinely see stackers in the the top 10 with 2 comments and a few hundred sats zapped meanwhile guys like Tom are posting great econ information multiple times a day and interacting with commenters and they are ten places lower than someone who spent like 2 minutes on the site. Illogical.
I understand the need to control spam which is why the algo is so skewed to value but it is creating reflexivity where stackers only want to zap and engage with top posts and users. That is not healthy long term.
reply
I agree, but if you look at the graphs for when people post, when we are on everyone else is off. @grayruby when we are posting, most arent replying.
I'd be really interested in reading a post where you elaborate on that.
Something to know is that the site developers are very willing to adapt the site mechanics when they see a problem. It's sort of on us to articulate what isn't working and brainstorm solutions.
Everything about SN is a work in progress and it's all early.
